Wow. What an amazing day. Last Tuesday, over 80 experts gathered in Zurich for the PFAS Forward Action Summit to discuss how to drive meaningful action on PFAS. 🚀   We started with the big questions: What are PFAS? What is their impact? What's the science behind their persistence and ubiquity in the environment?   Next, we dove into the regulations—unpacking current European policies and looking ahead at what’s coming.   Then, we turned to solutions. Australia has just introduced new draft guidelines that significantly lower acceptable limits for four major PFAS compounds in drinking water. 💧 These guidelines are an important step and a clear signal of a global shift in PFAS regulation. But they are not the finish line. These regulations should be part of a broader, more comprehensive approach to PFAS management that considers broad-spectra PFAS, multiple exposure pathways, and the ongoing production and use of these chemicals.   Australia's step is important.
