🎤Bloom Biorenewables was invited to share its vision of using abundant and renewable biomass as a sustainable and renewable carbon source for the chemical industry at the EPFL Sustainability Collider bringing together key actors from Switzerland and across Europe from industry and academia. ♻️While sustainability was the focus of all contributions, it was clear that without performance or a working product, a scaleable and replicable manufacturing method the adoption will not be possible limiting positive impact. 🪴Reach out if you want to be part of the success story or test our materials and solutions. Thank you to Tiffany Abitbol and Veronique Michaud for their organisation and Tech4Regen for the invitation.

Our key partner ChemTech/chemistry department of College of Engineering and Architecture of Fribourg (HEIA-FR) celebrated it's 50 years! Bloom Biorenewables had the pleasure of attending the 50 year celebration of the chemistry department at the HEIA-FR. Our CIO Philip Scholten presented among an impressive array of speakers and lots of history rounded by an excellent networking event. What started as a bachelor thesis (Mylène Soudani, Roger Marti) laid the foundation for our recent industrialisation to the ton scale. The chemistry department at the HEIA has proven that it is the stepping stone for #deepTech and #climateTech start-ups looking to develop and scale their process. We look forward to the next 50 years and the continuation of our fruitful partnership. Fribourg Development Agency FDA @cantonfribourg #chemistry #scaling #deeptech #climatetech

🌳 Bloom Biorenewables at the Marcus Wallenberg Symposium 2024! 🌳 We are thrilled to share that Bloom had a significant presence at the prestigious The Marcus Wallenberg Prize (MWP) Symposium, where the 2024 Prize often referred to as the Nobel Prize in the field of wood and forestry, was awarded to Professors John Ralph and Wout Boerjan for their groundbreaking research on lignin biosynthesis and structural diversity. Our co-CEO, Remy Buser, had the honor of presenting Bloom's achievements at this prestigious event. It was an incredible experience to witness His Majesty the King of Sweden present the award, and to have the chance to speak with many relevant stakeholder and Marcus Wallenberg himself. The discussions highlighted the importance of lignin in advancing scientific and industrial applications. Seeing lignin at the center of such a renowned prize is truly inspiring for the future of sustainable materials. Congratulations to the winners, Young Researchers and all involved!
