Riesiger Andrang und grosser Informationsbedarf: Unsere Veranstaltung «Materials IQ - PFAS in der industriellen Anwendung − wie weiter?» ist soeben zu Ende gegangen. Im Fokus standen die Chancen und Herausforderungen PFAS-freier Materialien und Technologien. Expertinnen und Experten präsentierten innovative Ansätze und aktuelle Fortschritte. ⚙️ Ein Highlight war die Entwicklung einer neuen Generation von Fluoroelastomer-Dichtungsmaterialien. Diese kommen ohne kurzkettige, gesundheitsschädliche Hilfsstoffe wie Fluortenside aus und bieten eine nachhaltigere Alternative zu aktuellen FKM-Produkten. ⚗️Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Reinigung von PFAS-kontaminiertem Abwasser durch katalytische Degradation. Diese Methode verspricht eine effiziente Lösung. 🦠 🌱 In eine andere Richtung geht sogenanntes «Bioprospecting». Dieser Ansatz zur PFAS-Entfernung nutzt die natürliche Fähigkeit spezieller Bakterienstämme, PFAS direkt in Böden abzubauen. An der abschliessenden Podiumsdiskussion kamen alle Referierenden zusammen, um Stärken und Schwächen der vorgestellten Lösungen zu diskutieren und einen Ausblick auf zukünftige Entwicklungen zu geben 🎤🤝 Die Veranstaltung zeigte, dass wir auf dem richtigen Weg sind, um nachhaltige und sichere Alternativen zu PFAS zu entwickeln. Es wurde aber auch klar, dass Alternativen mit vergleichbaren Eigenschaften nicht immer einfach zu finden sind und gewisse Branchen Ausnahmeregelungen und Übergangsfristen benötigen werden. 🌱🚀 Kicking Off the 3rd Batch of the Klimup Program! 🚀🌱 We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the third startup batch of the #KlimUp Program, an initiative by the Stadt Zürich to empower pre-seed climate tech startups with much-needed non-dilutive funding. As part of this impactful journey, Bluelion has been closely involved in program design, startup selection, and supporting these ambitious founders in turning their climate-focused innovations into reality. This year, we’re proud to welcome four remarkable startups to the KlimUp family: ✨CellX Biosolutions: CellX Biosolutions develops innovative bacteria-based solutions to sustainably degrade industrial chemical pollutants, including PFAS, pharmaceuticals, and microplastics. ✨ Grensol Group: Grensol Group transforms automotive recycling residues into valuable raw materials through innovative, light-powered processes, reducing waste and environmental impact. ✨ KIDEMIS: Kidemis utilises mycelium-based fermentation to upcycle low-value agricultural sidestreams into high-quality, sustainable mycoprotein for aquaculture feed, offering an eco-friendly alternative to traditional fishmeal. ✨ Niatsu: Niatsu automates carbon accounting for the food industry, enabling manufacturers to efficiently measure and report product-level CO₂ emissions, thereby enhancing sustainability and compliance. 🌍 Ready to be part of the next batch?
