Development2030 hat dies direkt geteilt
Last week, I had the privilege of representing Trickle Up and moderating two dynamic panels at AidEx - The Global Humanitarian Aid Community and Development2030, bringing together leaders across sectors to explore the future of collaboration and resilience in humanitarian development. In “Navigating Cross-Sector Partnerships – A pathway for effective collaborations or an overcomplicated solution?”, I was joined by Albert Fuchet (Global VP, Access to Energy, Schneider Electric), Lauren Post Thomas (Senior Advocacy Officer, Refugees and Safe Water, Conrad N. Hilton Foundation), Iliriana Jaka Gashi (Executive Director of Kosovo W4W - Women for Women International), and Marie Gad Hansen (Director, DI - Confederation of Danish Industry - Confédération des Industries Danoises). Together, we examined the evolving role of cross-sector partnerships in delivering long-term, innovating new solutions, and driving collaboration for greater social and economic integration. I was excited to hear from from Andrew Harper (Special Advisor on Climate Action, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency), Rafael I Merchan (Chief of Party - Horizons Initiative, Catholic Relief Services), Karolina Frischkopf (CEO, HEKS/EPER (Swiss Church Aid) ), Prince Israel Orekha (Executive Director, Connected Advocacy for Empowerment & Youth Development Initiative), and Tim Diphoorn (Europe Director, One Acre Fund) in the second panel on "Grassroots Solutions to Climate-Induced Vulnerability.” They not only shared inspiring examples of grassroots resilience strategies for frontline communities but also made a powerful call to bring local actors to the decision-making stage to ensure the funding they need reaches them. Some of the key insights that emerged: 📝 Cross-sector partnerships are not a new vehicle for sustainable development but need to continue to evolve to reach more people and scale effective programs. 🌍 Decision-makers and funders need to do more to ensure that resources reach the communities most affected by the harsh realities of climate change. Building lateral connections between multilaterals, the private sector, NGOs, and communities to reverse where power lies in resource allocation is key. 🤝 We need to prioritize collaboration and partnership that help us meet the specific needs of vulnerable populations to maximize our strengths and reach people with lasting solutions. I was so excited to bring these panelists together with Andreas Schonning, 安迪 to continue innovating, learning, and collaborating as we address some of today’s most pressing challenges. #Development2030 #AidEx2024 #SustainableDevelopmentGoals #CrossSectorPartnership #ClimateResilience #GrassrootsLeadership
