We were thrilled to host Riccardo Lampariello, CEO of D-tree, and Hannah McCarrick Mikidadi, Zanzibar Country Director, at our office! 🌍✨ They shared inspiring successes and key learnings from the Jamii ni Afya and Afya-Tek programmes. ➡️ Jamii ni Afya (Zanzibar) has achieved national scale as one of the world's first government-led digital community health programmes, with 95% of referrals by Community Health Workers successfully reaching health facilities and 86% of women enrolled in Jamii ni Afya delivering in health facilities. ➡️ Afya-Tek (Tanzania) is connecting Community Health Workers healthcare workers, health facilities, and private community drug shops through a digital platform, improving coordination across the primary healthcare system. By doing so, it has achieved a 91% successful referral rate and improved treatment accuracy for pneumonia and diarrhea, setting the foundation for sustained national scale. Our team recently visited Koforidua, Ghana, where youth leaders are taking inspiring steps toward a brighter, more inclusive future for their community. ✨ We were truly inspired by the incredible co-creation workshop in Koforidua for the #Kofkro vision, part of the #OurCity initiative, led by our partners at STAR-Ghana Foundation and the vibrant Koforidua community. Thanks to Fondation Botnar we have the opportunity to be part of #WUF12 in Cairo.    In co-creation with Shape History, AccountableNow, and UNIT:ART Event und Messe GmbH we designed a creative space for young city shapers to connect, listen, and learn from each other, and to bring their bold ideas and innovative initiatives for cities of the future into action.     This year‘s World Urban Forum theme is:  It All Starts at Home: Local Actions for Sustainable Cities and Communities.   … And All Starts HERE WITH YOUTH.     It was great to share this amazing week(s) of experiences with Susanna Hausmann-Muela Eva Moldovanyi Emily T.
