Exploring new professions, AI and More at Kids Day 2024!
Looking back to Kids Day 2024 (aka #Zukunftstag, an annual Swiss nationwide initiative) - what an incredible day we had at Microsoft’s office! We are so grateful to everyone who supported us and helped make this event a huge success.
A special thanks to the >60 children who joined us, for their enthusiasm, motivation, and curiosity. Their energy and eagerness to learn were truly inspiring and made the day unforgettable. The children not only got “hands-on” experience about various work profiles, the Hub also organized a variety of activities, including interactive presentations, fun games, and workshops.
The whole day was organized by our apprentices! Jasmin Furler - Sharujah Balakanthan - Cédric Leu - Tim Jaschke
During the day, we offered several engaging sessions for the kids:
➡️ sessions about digital safety that helped them understand the dangers of the internet and precautions they could take to stay safe
➡️ sessions where they used Minecraft Education to learn about AI principles
➡️ Copilot sessions where children could use Copilot to generate texts and pictures
➡️ an office tour where they could see and expereince the office their parents work at and explore the Innovation Hub - and its cool showcases 😎
We would also like to thank the parents for their support and encouragement. Their involvement and cooperation were essential in making this day possible.
A big shout out to our amazing workshop hosts and speakers during the day! Their hard work and dedication ensured smooth operations and made the day for all the kids:
René Knoefel, Urs Rüegg Christian Waha, Vartika Parikh, Manuela Läderach, Boris Hochreutener, Andy Frey, Mischa Faden, Nitka Mittal, Robert Zimmermann, Rene Huerlimann, Roger Altorfer
Thank you all for making this day so special! And yes, this was also a very unusual and fun engagement for the Microsoft Innovation Hub Team. #hubswiss #innovationhub
