How is the IEC helping to avoid e-waste? Differ Community Power (DCP) is an international provider of solar energy services to communities and the first implementing partner of the IEC Global Impact Fund (IEC GIF). Their project focuses on reducing solar and battery e-waste while providing safe, reliable electricity to communities in need. By following international standards, the project covers the full life cycle of the installations and trains local communities to maintain them, ensuring long-term sustainability and lasting impact. IEC International Standards and CA Systems are essential tools for electricity access everywhere. The IEC’s Global Impact Fund is a way of delivering those benefits through impactful project on the ground. #etech caught up with experts working on the ground in Kenya who are involved with one of the projects backed by The Global Impact Fund.
