Kuehne+Nagel's battery-electric trucks recently hit the 1 million kilometres mark! Our fleet #electrification journey is well underway: Recently, we go a new delivery of four heavy-duty electric trucks in the #UK through our participation in the eFREIGHT 2030 consortium*. In 2025, we are expecting over sixty new #BEVs (battery-electric vehicles) across our network. The bulk of those are medium-duty trucks for our groupage network in #France. There, the team has been deploying BEVs since 2023, and has meanwhile entirely adapted to the "new" way of planning and operating. According to Vehicle Performance Manager Sandrine Legras, “the main initial challenges were the installation of sufficient charging stations – 81 in total now across 42 sites - and securing grid capacity at the different locations." In addition to reducing our own road freight emissions, many customers have expressed appreciation for the efforts and are eager to partner on reducing transport emissions through BEVs. *This consortium lead by rapid charging developer Voltempo is part of the UK Government’s Zero Emission HGV and Infrastructure Demonstrator Programme, funded by the Department for Transport and delivered in partnership with Innovate UK.

How do you ensure life-saving medical devices reach the right hands at the right time? The global #MedicalDevices sector is experiencing robust growth, with forecasts indicating an increase from USD 481.92 billion in 2023 to USD 756.59 billion by 2031, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.8%. This remarkable growth is fuelled by several key factors: ✅ Increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, driving the need for advanced diagnostics and monitoring tools. ✅ Rising demand for capital equipment and consumables in developed and developing nations due to more surgical and diagnostic procedures and higher hospital admissions. ✅ Growing investments in R&D by manufacturers to develop technologies that meet the demand for innovative and easier treatment methods. ✅ Greater funding from medical institutes and regulatory acceptance, further supporting advancements in the industry.
