Meet Merging user Elaine Maltezos in Norway 🇳🇴 Elaine is a recording engineer and producer at Nobel Lyd in Grieghallen, specialising in orchestral recordings.    With a background as a violin player in the United States, Maltezos has translated her deep understanding of orchestral performance into the technical realm, using Merging’s advanced tools to capture every detail of the music she records. Her choice to work with Merging’s Pyramix digital audio workstation and interfaces like Anubis, Hapi, and Horus has allowed her to expand her craft, particularly in the field of immersive audio, where she’s been highly active in Norway. CBC/Radio-Canada uses Ovation as their playout system 🙌 On the TV broadcast side of their studios, Ovation works in conjunction with Lawo consoles connecting over ST 2110. Staff report that it’s a very smooth system to use 👌 Meanwhile, on the radio side, they are using Anubis with the Monitoring Mission to monitor ST 2110 streams being distributed locally or from abroad. Opera National de Paris upgrades with Merging Technologies and Lawo! The Paris Opera Bastille’s main production studio has implemented multichannel (5.1) with a Lawo Mc² console and a Pyramix Masscore system 🙌 Pyramix connects to the Lawo Mc² via RAVENNA/AES67/ST2110 for the audio while the connection side is controlled via Lawo Home. Additionally, it is also connected via a separate network using the OASIS protocol that has been integrated into Lawo Mc². This means the entire mixer, transport, plugins and panner can be controlled directly via a layer of the Mc² - in a bidirectional way.
