🇬🇧 Summer Report 2024 on Zurich's Urban Climate Monitoring Network Produced by the Department of Environment and Health Protection Zurich (Umwelt- und Gesundheitsschutz Zürich), the 2024 summer report highlights the impact of heat on Zurich’s urban climate. Using data from a dense sensor network, active since 2019 in collaboration with meteoblue, the report details the climatic challenges in densely built areas. It shows how heat days and tropical nights particularly affect the city centre and paved neighbourhoods, providing valuable insights for future heat mitigation efforts. 🇩🇪 Sommerbericht 2024 zum Zürcher Stadtklima-Messnetz Der Sommerbericht 2024, erstellt von Umwelt- und Gesundheitsschutz Zürich, gibt Einblick in die Auswirkungen von Hitze auf Zürichs Stadtklima. Basierend auf Daten eines engmaschigen Sensorennetzes, das seit 2019 in Zusammenarbeit mit meteoblue betrieben wird, zeigt der Bericht die klimatischen Herausforderungen in dicht bebauten Gebieten auf. Die Analyse verdeutlicht, wie Innenstadtbereiche und stark versiegelte Viertel besonders von Hitzetagen und Tropennächten betroffen sind und liefert wertvolle Daten zur Hitzeminderung.
