A new chapter for Meyer Burger We are pleased to announce that Franz Richter will assume the role of CEO as Executive Chairman effective. Franz is already very familiar with Meyer Burger from his many years on the Board of Directors, and along with his profound understanding of the company, he brings extensive experience in restructuring industrial companies. His solid knowledge of mechanical engineering and physics will also help him successfully shape the upcoming phase of strategic realignment. Most recently, he held operational roles at Süss MicroTec AG and Dr. Hönle AG, bringing with him precisely the expertise we need for the challenges ahead. Franz emphasizes: “Meyer Burger has the technology and know-how to succeed in the future. The strategic realignment is a critical step in strengthening our market position and ensuring long-term profitability.” We are confident that Franz Richter will maintain and further enhance the company's innovative spirit. Today we have announced a change in the management team. Gunter Erfurt will step down as CEO and hand over to our Chairman of the Board Franz Richter, who will take the helm at Meyer Burger as Executive Chairman with immediate effect. We would like to thank Gunter for his dedication and relentless fight for a European solar industry and for leading Meyer Burger into a new era with great foresight.

Sustainable panoramic view 🌿🌅 In the picturesque town of Taormina, renowned for its stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, this Meyer Burger solar installation was completed. In collaboration with our installation partner EGP S.R.L., 19 Meyer Burger Black modules were carefully installed on the roof of a charming Sicilian boutique hotel. The space of this traditional building was optimally utilised to convert the Mediterranean sun into sustainable energy in the best possible way. 🌱 New Subsidy for Sustainable and Fair Solar Panels in Amsterdam! 🌱   Amsterdam is increasingly committed to sustainability: Starting August 20, 2024, residents and businesses in Amsterdam can apply for a subsidy for sustainably and fairly produced solar panels. With a budget of €700,000, the city supports the adoption of eco-friendly solutions that emit nearly 50% less CO2 compared to conventional panels and are produced without toxic substances. And now the outlook: sunny with secure yields 🌞 We can see how reliable weather forecasts are by looking outside.  But how can we predict how high the yields of solar modules really are under real weather conditions? The PAN test from Kiwa PVEL evaluates the performance of solar modules under different light and temperature conditions. Three modules are tested under varying light intensities (100 to 1,100 W/m²) and temperatures (15 to 75 °C). The results enable a precise estimate of the actual power production of the modules in everyday use, so that you can make the best and most reliable choice for yourself. We also mastered this test discipline from KIWA as a top performer: in combination with the extremely high power stability and the strong yield on the front and back, the Meyer Burger Glass delivers significantly more yield in the long term and is therefore one of the test winners.
