🌱 Voltiris Partners with EBL (Genossenschaft Elektra Baselland) on Agrivoltaic Project in Switzerland! 🌞 We’re thrilled to share the launch of a transformative project in partnership with EBL (Genossenschaft Elektra Baselland), aimed at bringing solar energy into greenhouses without impacting plant growth. This project in Füllinsdorf has been in the works for some time, and seeing it come to life is an exciting milestone for Voltiris and our mission to accelerate the integration of sustainable energy into agriculture. Collaborating with EBL has been incredible—they truly understand the potential of agrivoltaics and are committed to advancing innovative solutions for local energy production. A special shout-out to Sandro, Tizian, and Bertrand for their trust and collaboration. We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Andreas Eschbach, the owner of Eschbach Gemüsebau, where the project is taking place. His belief in the potential of our solution and his partnership have been invaluable in refining our approach to meet real-world agricultural needs. Swiss Impact Forum - The annual Forum of B Lab Switzerland As Ecosystem Partner of the national sustainability program, Swiss Triple Impact, the EPFL Innovation Park took part in the Swiss Impact Forum in Bern on November 14, 2024. The agenda included various talks, conferences and deep dive workshops dedicated to the topics of the renewable economy and systemic change. Here are some of the highlights: 🌿 John Elkington, the visionary behind the Triple Bottom Line, challenged us to go beyond sustainability and embrace truly regenerative business practices. 🤝 André Hoffmann, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Roche an Co-founder of InTent, made a powerful call for a shift towards a stakeholder economy, where business is a force that serves all stakeholders, including nature and society. Check is book The New Nature of Economy (ed. Wiley). 🌍 Reto Knutti, Professor ETH Zürich in Climate Physics, stressed the urgency of climate action and called for a new narrative - one shaped by diverse perspectives but united by a single, shared goal. Meanwhile, in the Deep Dive sessions, participants showed high commitment to engaging their value chains, balancing purpose and profit, and redefining what it means to lead for the planet and society. 💪 EPFL Innovation Park was delighted to explore the following topics: -  The role of leadership in shaping organizational culture -  Leading and creating destinations for social impact -  Sustainability reporting for SMES -  Transparent communication in an evolving sustainability landscape Call to all the impactful companies of the EPFL Innovation Park: Blab will launch in 2025 the Swiss Future Award with a money price of CHF25K per winner, with a focus on Innovation & Environmental impact. The Swiss Impact Forum was concluded on a new chapter ahead: How to move beyond GDP indicatorsand how to create an Impact Prosperity Index towards multidimensional metrics to capture the value of human, natural, social and economic capital to guide and support sustainable development strategies. Work on progress! In the end, the Swiss Impact Forum was an inspiring day of exchanges and meetings.
