In Phase 1, we focused on identifying customer segments, assessing market size, and analyzing industry trends to lay a strong foundation for market entry. In Phase 2, we are developing a sales funnel and crafting a compelling selling story for both customers and investors. This strategic approach aims to position Swiss Soil for sustainable growth in the agricultural sector. Let the adventure begin 🚀 Yesterday marked the official kick-off of the #ImpactAcademy, a program dedicated to early-stage impact startups in Switzerland, matched with a duo of corporate volunteer coaches. From now on, each team will be working on common goals over the next 5 months. We got the opportunity to familiarize with innovative technologies, and explore common ways of contributing positively to the world's challenges. The adventure will be staggered: 🤝 Coaching and mutual learning 🍏 Startup support on impact measurement and how to leverage it towards investors 💪 Coach support on how to best collaborate with entrepreneurs on their rollercoaster journey. We look forward to welcoming each and every participant to our community. 'Spraying for the beauty: Pesticide use for visual appearance in apple production' ICYMI: New AECP paper in Agricultural Economics led by Lucca Zachmann with Chloe McCallum Apple growers often use pesticides for visual quality (only) and this behavior is largely driven by marketing channels. Findings sweet-spots along value chains to reduce pesticide use focused on visual quality could be an efficient strategy to reduce pesticide use risks, without without compromising food security.
