The second edition of the #SwissWinterVillage ❄️ is finished and the team of Switzerland Tourism in Italy takes stock of two impressive weeks of Swiss winter promotion in the heart of Milano: • 50'000 visitors in the Swiss Winter Village • 1600 skiers participated on the sustainable slope for a free ski lesson (of which 80% were young generation) • 2000 people “sledging” • 30 schools visited the village and participated with ski lessons • Over 3 million media contacts • Over 15 million social media impressions The innovative and sustainable promotion 360° Swiss winter experiences was reinforced with a Eurocity 2for1 promotion to visit Switzerland. In five interactive modules, the toolbox not only highlights the key aspects to consider but also provides hands-on implementation tools. These resources help businesses integrate sustainability into their communication effectively. Additionally, inspiring good practice examples from the tourism industry demonstrate how sustainability can be made visible and tangible. National Future Day was on the program yesterday! 🚀 The children had the opportunity to get to know Switzerland Tourism better and be inspired by the exciting facets of the tourism industry.🇨🇭 The day was packed full: After a variety of insights into our departments, an inspiring Q&A session with our CEO Martin Nydegger, the creation of an own Instagram post, and an exciting tour of the Stadthalle, there was a pizza lunch for refreshment. 🍕 Freshly motivated, the children were able to accompany their chaperones at work in the afternoon and experience the varied everyday working life firsthand. 🤩 A big thank you to everyone who helped organise this day! #InLoveWorkingForST

#BestTourismVillages2024: This year, UN Tourism has recognized the Swiss villages of Splügen and Romoos as “Best Tourism Villages”! 🌱 The UNWTO initiative awards villages that demonstrate innovative and transformative approaches to rural tourism in line with Sustainable Development Goals. Both Swiss villages impressed the jury with their strong commitment to sustainable development, picturesque village centers, and various initiatives aimed at preserving, promoting, and showcasing cultural heritage through tourism. 🏆 Switzerland now proudly counts nine “Best Tourism Villages,” including the previous winners Andermatt, Gruyères, Morcote, Murten, Saas-Fee, Saint-Ursanne, and Val Poschiavo. Rhein & Rösti – Bringing Swiss Flair to the Rhine! What a memorable journey! The "Rhein & Rösti" river cruise by Switzerland Tourism Germany, Riverside Luxury Cruises, and our Swiss partners was a celebration of Swiss hospitality, culture, and cuisine, all floating down the Rhine from Cologne towards Switzerland. Rhein & Rösti in figures: 🌊 3 full days on the river, covering 435 km and navigating 10 locks 🍽️ 120 kg of potatoes used to make 480 golden, crispy Röstis, crafted by Chef René Schudel 🤝 More than 1’400 meetings between media, trade, and MICE professionals with our Swiss partners 🍷 3 wine tastings by Swiss Wine Promotion and 3 cheese tastings by Appenzeller Schaukäserei AG capturing the essence of Swiss flavors 🧘 2 yoga sessions for a touch of relaxation 👥 All made possible by 70 outstanding crew members of the Riverside Debussy This was more than a cruise – it was a showcase of Swiss creativity, featuring unique events designed to inspire and boost demand.
