This Tuesday, SARA will present itself at the Focus Project Rollout of ETH Zürich to the public and you can pass by and finally see what we have achieved in the past eight months. 📅 When? 28 May, from 12:00-17:00 📍 Where? ETH Zurich, Leonhardstrasse 21, 8092 Zurich Our exhibition stand is in the foyer in front of LEE E10. We will also be giving a presentation in Audi Max in the presentation block from 14:00-14:45. First week into the second half of our project and we’re already well into: 💪   building an actuated shoulder joint 💻   getting farmiliar with ROS (Robot Operating System) which will help us to control the arm 🔧   manufacturing a new batch of 45 HASELs 🔋   estimating the power consumption of our actuators 💡  … and finding innovative solutions for supply chain issues

Why is this so cool? 🎯 Extremely precise oil dosage for the pouches of our HASELs: The dosing volume of the pump starts at 30 µl, so we can even fill our smallest HASELs precisely! ⚡ Less air and particles in the oil through a closed system operation: Really important since these induce dielectric breakdowns. ⏱ Fast dosage through simple handling: This has sped up the HASEL-production process immensely – before the pump, we were filling every pouch by hand using a syringe, which, apart from taking more time, made it a lot messier! The pump has played an essential part in the development of our production site and in the acceleration and improvement of the fabrication process.
