Welcome to the AMZ family, 𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘢! We are thrilled to present you the name of the 18th car of AMZ. Continuing our tradition of naming our cars after Swiss mountain peaks, aurona is inspired by the majestic Punta d'Aurona, which lies on the border between the canton of Ticino and the canton of Valais, standing at 2,922 meters above sea level. Our committed team, made up of students from ETH Zürich and HSLU Hochschule Luzern, has already embarked on the detailed and intensive process of developing this new prototype. We are excited to reveal 𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘢 to you next spring. In the meantime, stay tuned for updates and a behind-the-scenes look into our ongoing progress! 📷 Georges Sanga #amzracing #formulastudent

Info

🇩🇪 Formula Student Germany 2024 🇩🇪 We are overall EV & DC winners at FSG 2024! We are incredibly proud to announce that we have won the electric and driverless cups at Formula Student Germany 2024 at the Hockenheimring. This amazing achievement comes only two weeks after the double victory at FSEast 2024. The technical inspections were once again completed quickly, giving us crucial time to prepare for the dynamic events while simultaneously competing in the static disciplines. We were able to win EV Engineering Design, while scoring decent points in the other static disciplines. While we got close several times on Thursday and Friday, our first dynamic wins came Saturday with Trackdrive and EV Autocross. On Sunday, we competed in a thrilling wet final 5 race in the EV Endurance event. Our tire choice didn’t pay off, but the time we set still earned us lots of points both in the Endurance and Efficiency disciplines. The second award ceremony marked the brightest highlight of our season, as we were declared overall winners in the electric class with 886.23/1000 points, and of the driverless cup with 500.22/600 points. This incredible achievement concludes the most successful season in association history with five overall victories (3 x EV and 2 x DV). We have many people to thank for their support in this incredible year, from our sponsors to our alumni and many more. The achievements of this season would not have been possible without you. Additionally, we want to thank the team at Formula Student Germany for all their work and for giving us and the other 78 teams this platform to compete. And finally, to all the teams that we have encountered on track this season, thank you for this amazing year of great competition. Of course, special congratulations to FS Team Tallinn, Chalmers Formula Student, eForce Prague Formula and Dynamis PRC for their overall podium finishes. We can’t wait to see you on track again next year! 🇭🇺 Formula Student East 2024 🇭🇺 We are overall EV & DV champions at FSEast 2024 🏆 🏎️ During the first week of august, we attended our third event of the 2024 season, Formula Student East, at the ZalaZone Automotive Proving Ground in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary. This event was also the first event with a driverless (DV) category alongside the manual (EV) category for us this season. This meant that we had a lot more disciplines packed into the week, as we competed in both categories simultaneously with the same car and team. The event began with technical inspections, where we swiftly passed scrutineering and made the finals in EV and DV Design, as well as Cost, winning all three and securing overall statics victories in EV and DV. In dynamics, we achieved top positions in manual and driverless disciplines, including 2nd in manual Autocross and 1st in Endurance, despite challenging conditions. Our performance culminated in overall victories in both EV and DV categories, marking the first time a car has won both since the EV/DV merge. We are immensely proud of this unprecedented achievement. At this point, we would like to thank the organizers at Formula Student East for organizing an event we won’t forget for a while. Thanks also to all other teams for the great competition. Special congratulations to Arrabona Racing Team for the overall win in the combustion class, and to TU Graz Racing Team for yet another skidpad record! We are thrilled to share that the AMZ Rollout took place last Tuesday! We proudly introduced our latest race car, dufour, at the BMW Group Brand Experience Center in Dielsdorf. With over 250 guests in attendance, the event featured an in-depth presentation of the vehicle's cutting-edge technology. Attendees also enjoyed impressive demonstration runs of dufour and castor. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
