Lets celebrate Ndiya Dimgba our Co-Founder. Ndiya Dimgba is a living example of the need for UchaVerse. Born to a Swiss mother and Nigerian father, she grew up eager to learn her native language and culture. As a young adult, she invested nearly $2,000 in books, online courses, and community programs to connect with her heritage, but found that the results didn’t match the effort. Now, as a mother of two mixed-race children, Ndiya brings her wealth of legal expertise, managerial experience, and leadership to Uchaverse to ensure that her children—and other African children in the diaspora—won’t have to struggle as she did to learn their heritage. She has teamed up with Opagu Dimgba and Chukwuemeka Okore Ikoro to assemble a world-class team dedicated to developing UchaVerse for Africans in the diaspora. With a distinguished career in insurance and social security law spanning over a decade, Ndiya has held diverse roles, including leading legal teams and heading legal departments. Her educational background, with a Master’s in Law from the University of Zurich, underscores her legal acumen, deep understanding of business structures, and expertise in strategic management. She is also a sophisticated project manager, having led and completed several marquee projects throughout her career. Currently, she serves as the president of the board of The Swiss Association for Aids Advice for the Disabled and Elderly (SAHB) in Switzerland, while still achoring leadership role at ProFimis, Ndiya is a trailblazer. Beyond her legal career, Ndiya’s entrepreneurial spirit is deeply connected to her African roots. Her work with Uchaverse reflects her personal journey—her struggles with learning her native language, her tenacity to succeed, and her vision of celebrating and promoting Africa’s rich heritage through innovative, tech-driven solutions. With a rich background in teaching Twi across different educational levels, Seth has a bachelor is Education from the University of Cape Coast. Seth Abakah brings over a decade of experience in both traditional and digital classrooms. Seth’s passion for the Twi language is rooted in his deep connection to Ghanaian culture. His academic journey has been marked by a relentless drive to ensure that the Twi language is not just taught but lived and experienced by his students. He has led several successful initiatives aimed at revitalizing the language among young Ghanaians in the diaspora. Currently a Tutor in Prestigous IHC Class, Seth had also taught Twi and Fante in Association International school. Seth is a season Twi and Fante tutor with an intimidating record of over 500 students home and abroad. As an advocate for cultural preservation, Seth is committed to using innovative teaching methods to make Twi engaging and relevant in today’s world. Chinedu Ndukwe is a Highly motivated and detail-oriented 3D Animator with close to half a decade of experience creating engaging animations for various brands and projects. Successfully spearheaded the animation team on the Are We Nok documentary project for the Muta Africa company in 2022, leading to the delivery of an optimum quality historically accurate visuals that enhanced the project's overall impact. He has lead character animator for CGI characters in movies like 'Cold' Produced and directed by Bakia T. Thomas, Glamorbit productions' Copy Cat and Margaret Produced by Franklin Okwonna and directed by Charles Chukukere. Chinedu holds a B.A in Linguistics which extremely gives him a great insight to our objectives at UchaVerse. He is Proficient in Autodesk Maya, Blender, and other relevant software. Possesses strong skills in video editing, and animation techniques, ideal for crafting compelling age appropriate visuals. We are thrilled to welcome Maazi Obioha Nmezi Obioha Nmezi as the Academic Head for Igbo Language at UchaVerse. With over 1 decade of experience in teaching Igbo Language, Maazi Nmezi, as an Igbo enthusiast, has dedicated his career to preserving and promoting the Igbo language and culture. Having taught across several language institutions, Maazi Nmezi now champions the campaign to empower diaspora Igbo indigenes and language tourists with the knowledge of Igbo language on Verbling. As a tutor on Verbling Maazi Nmezi has taught over 300 Igbo people and clocked close to 5000 hours in tutoring. His work in #Igbolanguage preservation, particularly in the diaspora, has been instrumental in ensuring that the next generation of Igbo speakers remains connected to their roots. He has also worked for Nkọwa okwu where he led a team of lexicographers to create a robust online Igbo language dictionary which explains Igbo language words as never seen before on the internet. Obioha has worked as an English-Igbo translator for government parastatals and non-profit organizations. He also consults for teachers on how best to teach Igbo language to English native speakers in an environment where Igbo language is very seldom spoken or heard. Born and raised in Igbo land, Obioha Nmezi ensures that all materials or information he is putting out there reflects the true perception of a natural Igbo mind. Maazi Nmezi is driven by a mission to make the Igbo language accessible to all, using modern educational tools and methodologies and will be sparehearing the academic excellence of UchaVerse content on the Igbo Segment.
