🔊 35 global international financial centres participated at the #FC4SAGM2023 in Dublin today! Haoliang Xu, Under-Secretary-General and Associate Administrator of UNDP welcomed members while Lamia MERZOUKI, Chief Operating Officer of Casablanca Finance City Authority and Chair of FC4S opened the AGM.   🟧21 members signed a milestone Gender Finance Charter to advance gender equality in sustainable finance and committed to take concrete actions throughout 2024 to mainstream gender considerations within sustainable finance. The FC4S Gender Working Group (GWG) is also working on a Gender Finance Booklet, which will provide necessary tools and guidance for effective implementation of the Charter's principles. As part of Sustainable Finance Week 2024, Sarah Thompson, our Head of ESG, will participate in an event on "Social Finance: Advancing Gender and Social Equality in Sustainable Finance" on Tuesday 26 November in the RDS. In collaboration with 100 Women In Finance (100 WIF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Gender Charter, this event will explore the critical role of gender finance and social finance in driving sustainable economic growth. As we work towards achieving greater gender equality and inclusivity in finance, this event will bring together thought leaders and influential voices to discuss key challenges and opportunities within the sector. Sarah will take part in panel discussion with Aisling McCaffrey ACA (Grant Thornton Ireland), Andrew Bowley (Wells Fargo), Zara Hussey (Climate Cardinals), Joanna Thompson de Colonges (100WIF) and Delfina Monteverdi (UNFC4S).
