💭 We are still reminiscing about when our 2024 finalists were in Geneva in November for our award ceremony... Some of our favourite moments (aside from the award ceremony)? Attending the Young Activists Summit and enjoying a fondue dinner by Lake Geneva. The Geneva Challenge | Geneva Graduate Institute hat dies direkt geteilt
Two weeks ago, my friends from the University of Cambridge, Cynthia, Titilola, Chibuzor, and I presented our Project REACH (Resilient Resilient Education for Advancing Camp Horizons) in front of a high-level panel at The Geneva Challenge | Geneva Graduate Institute. The project aims to improve education access for Nigerian internally displaced youth affected by conflict and natural disasters. Out of 200+ registered teams and 900+ participating students, our team was selected as the best in Europe and tied with Team Harvard for overall second place 🎉 . Working on this project allowed me to learn more about Nigeria and the plight of young people in IDP camps—a reality that is not common in Eswatini, where I come from. It also gave me a chance to merge the theories from my MPhil in Development Studies and the work I do with the Human Capital, Youth and Skills Development Department at the African Development Bank Group. While in Geneva, we also had the privilege of attending the Youth Activist Summit at the United Nations. We were exposed to the different initiatives that young people from different parts of the world have been leading. Each time I see young people advocating for change in their communities, I am reminded of the Soweto Uprising and the South African youth of 1976 who fought for their right to education. Their desire for youth-led change has continued to echo through the corridors of time and resonate with youth from different parts of the globe. So beautiful to behold! #YouthEmpowerment #InclusiveDevelopment

Ahead of the Geneva Challenge's award ceremony in November, the five finalist teams partook in a communication workshop and individual training sessions with the outstanding Claire Doole. These prepared them for their presentations before the Jury and their brief pitches at the award ceremony. They learned valuable lessons for audience engagement and clarity. Thank you once again, Claire Doole, for preparing the finalists so well! #communication #genevachallenge
Event presenter, panel moderator, trainer -talking to the media, speaking in public, speechwriting, storytelling and panel moderating
When was the last time you delivered a great pitch or presentation? At the end of last year I coached 5 teams of masters students from some of the world's top universities to deliver their presentation and pitches in the final of the #Geneva Challenge - an annual contest under the patronage of the late UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and organised by the Graduate Institute for International Development Studies. Have a read and contact me to become an award-winning presenter!
