It's always a pleasure for JVE Côte d'Ivoire to see the communities we work with grow in leadership and become increasingly empowered.  Yesterday, we were with the women of Nzianouan. Our discussions revolved around the continuation of our collaboration and their feedback after the Caravan of the Global Convergence Land, Seeds and Water ( CGLTE) at the end of 2023. For them, the activity was an intense moment of reinforcement of the struggles they had experienced. Their experiences, shared with other members, will certainly be a source of motivation for future struggles. #urbanproperty #foncierurbain Visit to the victims of displacement on Sunday 25 February 2024. We visited the Gesco site last Sunday to talk to the victims of the evictions in the Autonomous District of Abidjan. These are people who feel disillusioned, distraught and betrayed, but who are also upset with the authorities we met. They don't understand why the authorities are being so relentless. During our visit, we heard victims' testimonies, which highlighted the unilateral, brutal and inhumane eviction. They also denounced the untruths they felt had been spread by district officials, and promised to fight for justice. Several thousand victims, including women, the elderly and schoolchildren, are now struggling to survive. The delegation was led by several NGOs and human rights activists. #FJS CCFD-Terre Solidaire 

4 years ago, ONG JVE_COTE D'IVOIRE and impacted communities were in Senegal to learn from the experience of fighting the Bargny power plant. Thanks to partners such as WoMin African Alliance and GRAIN for their facilitation. The San Pedro coal-fired power station has been abandoned for the good of nature and the communities. 1st Monitoring Visit of the YALITIA Bootcamp 2023 JVE has carried out the 1st series of Unannounced SEA Visits (VISEA) on the YAPOKOI site (Anyama). There are a number of challenges to be met and the players need to be revitalised.
