We had the honour of welcoming renowned English wine journalist Oz Clarke to our vineyards in Chiloé and Zapallar. Oz spent a memorable day with our founder, Aurelio Montes, his son and Chief Winemaker, Aurelio Montes, and our Commercial Director, Carlos Serrano. Together, they explored the extreme southern conditions of Chiloé, known for its resilience to harsh climates, and the cool, maritime-influenced terroir of Zapallar, both essential to crafting our unique wines. His visit marks a milestone in sharing the richness of Chilean viticulture with the world. Albariño, a grape variety of Spanish origin, thrives in the exclusive coastal terroir of Zapallar, where the maritime influence imparts a unique freshness, with citrus and floral notes complemented by a subtle mineral touch that reflects its privileged environment. During an intimate event, we shared this exceptional wine with some of our most loyal clients and distinguished journalists, enjoying inspiring conversations with fresh pairings.
