Rattan 🌿 - A flexible and strong climbing palm, rattan is invaluable for creating a wide range of crafts and furniture. - Sustainable rattan cultivation can helps preserve forest ecosystems while offering economic benefits to local farmers. - Found mostly in Southeast Asia, rattan supports local economies and sustainable development. Unlocking Financial Opportunities for the Bamboo Sector in North East India 🎋🇮🇳 A landmark workshop was held in Guwahati to advance the development of the bamboo sector in India’s North East Region. Hosted by INBAR, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the National Bamboo Mission, the event brought together over 90 participants to explore financial, environmental and social opportunities in bamboo value chains. The two-day workshop featured expert presentations and discussions on sector challenges, market trends, and innovative financing solutions for bamboo enterprises.
