Mr. John Girard, General Manager of Plaza Premium Group Hong Kong Operations, recently attended the Smart Airport Challenge 2025 Showcase Day, hosted by the MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node as the closing event of the 12-day MEMSI Program in January 2025. As one of the judges and award presenters, he had a fantastic opportunity to meet a group of young talents from MIT and universities in Hong Kong, gaining insights into their innovative ideas aiming to enhance accessibility at Hong Kong International Airport. James Wong, Operations Manager and Aiden Chu, Duty Manager from the Hong Kong ALLWAYS team served as mentors for this MEMSI Program. They shared their extensive cross-functional experience in airport operations, particularly in customer engagement, quality standards, brand attributes, and innovation. This event was a valuable opportunity to connect and exchange ideas with our future leaders. At Plaza Premium Group, we are committed to nurture the next generation of talents in airport hospitality and we look forward to participating in more student programmes in the future.

2024 marked another year of growth and positive transformations for PPG. Last week, the PPG Hong Kong Team visited the 協康會 Heep Hong Society, an organization focused on the education and rehabilitation of children with special needs, for a heartfelt Chinese New Year celebration. We hosted over 10 pairs of parents and children for a Chinese New Year special workshop to celebrate the Year of the Snake. During the workshop, these children showcased their creativity by crafting Chinese New Year-themed donuts and packaging. Our team also prepared a delightful selection of festive treats, along with special gifts for the children to take home. It was truly special to share these joyful moments with our local community and extending our love and care beyond the airport. #WeArePPG

Mei Mei Song, our Chief Transformation Officer, participated in a panel discussion at the Belt and Road Office Talk: Silk Road Economic Belt – Hong Kong Cooperation and Multinational Supply Chain Management last week. During the panel discussion, Mei Mei and fellow panelists - Almas Seitakynov, Consul General of Kazakhstan; Kerim Sercan Evcin, Consul General of Türkiye; and Barry Chan, Managing Director of CICC - discussed opportunities along the Silk Road Economic Belt and Hong Kong’s role as a global business and financial hub.
