We are thrilled to share that the National Centre for Electron and Photon Optics has been honored with a prestigious award in the "Partnership" category by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, marking its 15th anniversary. This recognition celebrates the success of a robust consortium that brings together institutes from the Academy of Sciences, universities, and prominent technology companies. A part of this consortium is the Biology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where our Laboratory of Electron Microscopy at the Institute of Parasitology (IoP) plays a vital role in advancing research and development in electron and photon optics. This award underscores the value of collaboration across institutions to drive innovation in these fields.

Congratulations to PhD student Oleksander Mashchenko and whole team from the Faculty of Science at the University of South Bohemia for developing a metal printing technology at the micro- and nanoscale! This innovation opens exciting possibilities for applications in electronics, optics, and medicine—imagine, for example, a custom implant embedded with printed conductors and sensors.

3D EM course in our lab! 🔬 💡 We invite you to the course on the 3D EM methods that we provide in our laboratory. The course takes place in Ceske Budejovice from 11th to 13th June. You can register for the whole course including theoretical lectures and practicals (500 czk per day, you can register for separate days).
