Why do we keep taking photos of the screen like paparazzis ? That's because 3D #STED is way too good ! While high-resolution confocal (always on the left) will yield distorted volumes, there is no such issue in 3D #STED , and spatial resolution is much higher in all dimensions ! It is also very beneficial when supramolecular complexes (here ciliae or centrioles) are not oriented parallel to the focal plane (why should they be ?). This opens new possibilities for structural/morphological analysis within cellular/tissular context. With abberior #FACILITY LINE only ! Good job by Dr. Bastian-J.
