No Sales Pitches. No Boring Lectures. No Recruiting. Just Great Conversations About AI.

Info

WHAT IS AI MONDAY? In the early 2000 curious minds met regularly on Monday afternoons in Helsinki at so called “Mobile Mondays” to discuss mobile business use cases. In Berlin it was the latest around “location based services” that were shared at the “GEO Mondays“. In 2017 the founders of Taival re-started the “Monday” tradition in Helsinki – this time with a highly relevant topic of today: Artificial Intelligence. “AI Monday“ was born. Five years later, AI Monday Heilbronn was founded in conjunction with the AI Monday chapter network.

Team Diversity is not just about gender. Diversity gets to the heart of bringing people of different gender, cultures, demographics, and mindsets together in ways that empower teams to accomplish more, faster, and better than homogeneous teams. This is always a challenge because we humans tend to be herd animals... wanting and needing to be around others like ourselves. This mirror-bias is one of the most challenging barriers to diverse team structures. And we often hide behind the term "soft skills" as a way to justify our need for homogeneity... to form teams mirroring ourselves. But as we move forward in this new frontier called AI, we must assure it not only reflects human nature, but models all that is good in humanity... reflecting all that we aspire to be.

A look back at a very special AI Monday Heilbronn – this time on a Friday! 🎉 Yes, the name stays the same – but sometimes the day doesn’t really matter when it comes to great content! Last Friday, we had a fantastic evening as part of the Experience AI Event at the IPAI Event Space. Under the moderation of Dennis "The Alaskan" Kline, the panel focused entirely on #Diversity in #AI. 👩💻 Our inspiring panellists: The personal insights shared during their introductions were particularly fascinating. Here are some details they shared with us: Prof. Dr. Mahsa F. (Hochschule Heilbronn - Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Informatik, Prof. for Human-AI-Interaction, originally from Iran, married, 2 children) Marina Iantorno (Campus Founders, Data Scientist, originally from Argentina, 2.5 years in Ireland, since 2.5 years in Stuttgart) Vivien Bender (Springer Nature, Team Lead & AI Product Manager, learned AI on the job, dog lover) Carina Mieth (Freelancer, PhD student in Trustworthy AI, Women in AI & Robotics Lead Stuttgart, took a 1-year sabbatical to hike and bike) 💬 Discussion highlights: What does #Diversity mean? From cultural backgrounds to professional experiences, the panel demonstrated how diverse perspectives influence AI development. Why is diversity important in AI? Greater diversity leads to more innovative solutions and better results. A thought-provoking example: Carina shared a story about a project where she was the only woman alongside another diverse individual in a team full of men. Despite the brilliant analyses provided by the diverse individual, their suggestions were ignored – the men agreed that their tried-and-tested approach was sufficient. Unfortunately, this led to errors going unnoticed, and the outcome could have been much better. This example powerfully illustrates why diverse teams are not just valuable but essential. AI and #Ethics: The EU faces the challenge of fostering innovation while maintaining ethical standards. Greater diversity in the development of AI ethics processes was identified as key. A big thank you to Arpita Sarker for the invitation and to Prof. Dr. Alexander Jesser from Heilbronn University for the friendly and insightful organisation of the event. This event was sponsored by GDG WTM Global (Google Developer Groups Women Techmakers), co-sponsored by IPAI, and co-organised with AI Monday Heilbronn. Interactive, humorous, and with plenty of audience participation – that’s what makes AI Monday Heilbronn special, even when we hold it on a Friday! ✨ How great to meet/see you: Karen Ehrhardt-Dreier Ashmi Banerjee Syed Amir Hamza Galina Jesser A heartfelt thank you to Björn Eistel from the AI Monday Heilbronn Team for the beautiful pictures.

Have more time │ money │ purpose. Build a Better Life.

If you want to 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 get out of the box. Take the best path for you. This may be the next step in permanent employment. It might be pursuing a startup. Or, simply soloprenuership. Cory Warfield touches on this in a unique way: Passive Reoccuring Revenue.

How do I have over 500K followers here (& 100+ recs)?? I speak ‘truth to tech’, share ‘good vibes’, highlight amazing people & companies & have friends in high places. Editor-in-Chief @ Tech For Good. Serial founder/BODs

What do you do that others would pay $1/min for (ideally many at once)? AI can help us infinitely scale & has created millionaires already with this model. Also, feel free to pitch your actual offerings below to answer this question & hopefully earn some business. I’ve personally been working on solving for this myself for over 2 years now — training a video avatar of myself as a viral growth coach that humans can connect to, be coached by & experience 1,000x+ ROI with the goal of helping 100 people at any given moment optimize their LinkedIn profiles, create a viral content strategy generating millions of impressions/DOLLARS, develop a perpetual vetted, quality INBOUND lead flow & take their businesses to next levels by orders of magnitude (OOMs). My model is to let anyone spend up to 30 mins with my avatar for free, then charge $1/min thereafter ($60/hr for my digital twin, compared to my $1,250/hr for “the real thing” makes me much more accessible, even if the ‘me’ is in quotes too). This product would generate over $50M annually with very little overhead, if I could grow to my target of 100 paying clients at any given moment. But I’m not unique in this endeavor & frankly many platforms & apps are also trying to solve for this for many. One fellow influencer who had cracked the code on this already is Caryn Marjorie, a Snapchat influencer with nearly 3M followers (see video below), creator of CarynAI, which generated $70,000+ in its FIRST WEEK & quickly made Caryn a millionaire by the age of 24. The model was trained by ChatGPT using over 2,000 hours of video content Caryn had uploaded of herself to the platform. Intended as a companion & way for her ‘fans’ to engage with her more ‘personally’, the tech quickly became ‘inappropriate’ & delivered “unexpected consequences” which caused Caryn to discontinue the AI clone of herself, despite the overwhelming financial success. This encounter of her & her digital clone “meeting” in this video is certainly interesting, albeit a bit scary. These reasons, & others (primarily QC & being protective of my personal brand) have made me much slower to release my “CoryAI”, but I’m still working on it & getting closer to releasing it in a closed beta environment. I’d love to learn if you would want a digital twin avatar of yourself to work “on your behalf”, & what it’s focus would be. I respect Caryn deprecating her first product if it didn’t align with her vision (I’d thought the goal was to flirt & beyond, but now think that wasn’t the intention, which is great too), but also applaud her for being a “guinea pig” for this tech, as well as showing that it can be done successfully (at least from a monetary perspective). Seeing the reaction of her digital “self” meeting her human self if indeed eye-opening, however — I’d like to think we can train our models to be a bit more of known extensions of ourselves. 🎥 via @bloombergoriginals / @emilychangtv #techforgood #digitaltwins #ai

Is AI Stealing My Job? The AI Monday Heilbronn Speaker Panel Did a Major Fact-Check on All the Media Hype last night. In a nutshell: No. At least not in the foreseeable future. That was the general answer from the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation leadership at one of the world’s largest retail groups: Schwarz Gruppe. It’s not like there is some button to push and “puff” there go all the jobs because of technology. Technological innovation typically happens in an exponential fashion, while implementation is generally linear. There are reasons for this. Global businesses are complex. There are a lot of processes, people, and assets. These are the things that differentiate businesses. And change is not easy, if you want to keep the business running. In fact, Change Management is the key challenges all CIOs face… and that is a people process instead of a technological process. And therein lies the key to The Digital Transformation. In the end, this transformation is about how people use technology to improve their ability to solve problems and better serve other human beings. That will never change. Sure, there are the jobs that will go the way of the roller-skating switchboard operator (google it). But that will not be the case with all jobs. Instead, we are seeing a partnership between man and AI. So the advice to students was simple: Embrace the AI Genie. It cannot and will not be stuffed back into the bottle. A huge thank you for all the people who made this Student’s Edition of AI Monday Heilbronn such a success! The AI Monday Heilbronn Speaker Panel: Tim Still, Simon Gatzemeier, Tim Baller, Raphael Dehmel, Tobias Czok, and Marvin-Micha Mast.   The SCOS Einstiegsprogramme Team: Sabine Zeidler, Julia Baroth, and Johanna Bleibdrey, in addition to Nadine Wenninger from SCOS Employer Branding. The AI Monday Heilbronn Leadership Team: Dennis "The Alaskan" Kline“, Margareta Jäger and Björn Eistel   The Professors, Instructors, and Educational Staff Who Promoted The Event: Prof. Dr. Mahsa F., Prof. Dr. Annett Grossmann, Carsten Wittenberg, Bettina Merlin, Costanza Terino, Arpita Sarker, Prof. Dr. Alexander Jesser The SCHWARZ Group and Area Educational Institutions Schwarz Corporate Solutions, Schwarz Digits, Schwarz IT KG, Lidl International, TUM Campus Heilbronn, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Hochschule Heilbronn - Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Informatik, 42 Heilbronn, experimenta – Das Science Center, and Bildungscampus in Heilbronn. And most importantly, a big thank you to the students who attended the event with such enthusiasm, interest, and passion… without which it would never have been an event! Looking forward to seeing you at the next AI Monday Heilbronn. Please follow the AI Monday Heilbronn page for updates. And, of course, feel free to connect with our founder and moderator, Dennis “The Alaskan” and leaders Marga Jäger and Björn Eistel.
