Growing interest in Renewable Metal Fuels 🔄⚡🔥: 130 researchers, companies, and interested audience from 13 countries and three continents attended the First International Symposium on Renewable Metal Fuels (3rd MeCRE) at OST – Ostschweizer Fachhochschule. The production of metals such as aluminium or iron requires a lot of energy. They release this energy again by means of chemical processes and the resulting waste products can be converted back into metal an infinite number of times using CO₂-neutral processes and renewable energy ☀️. From the perspective of researchers worldwide, this makes them the ideal vector for storing energy over longer time periods and for transporting energy over longer distances such as overseas. 𝗔 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆! 🚀 Europe’s very first hydrogen storage power plant is getting closer to reality: We’re excited to announce that #AMBARtec has secured nearly 𝟰 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼𝘀 in funding from the Free State of Saxony, presented by Minister for Economic Affairs, Dirk Panter. In collaboration with TU Bergakademie Freiberg and its Institute of Energy Process Engineering and Chemical, this joint research project aims to: ✅ Develop our innovative hydrogen storage technology for series production ✅ Build and commission a hydrogen storage power plant in Freiberg This is a significant leap toward sustainable energy solutions!
