For the first time in Heet, the Anbar Career Fair (Iraq) was held in December 2024, bringing together nearly 200 attendees, including distinguished guests, ARILA training graduates, and active participation from the private sector 💼. The event also featured an inspiring workshop on entrepreneurship skills 🚀.   The fair served as a dynamic platform to connect youth with private sector opportunities, showcase job prospects 🌟, and foster professional networking. It empowered young participants to expand their career horizons and contribute positively to their local community and economy.   The Anbar Career Fair is implemented under the ARILA project (Output 2) by AMBERO Consulting Gesellschaft mbH on behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The fair is implemented in cooperation with DAD and the Anbar Labor and Vocational Training Department, with support from the Youth Centre of Heet.

With nearly 500 attendees, including guests and trainees from the ARILA project in Ramadi (Iraq), representatives from the public sector and government, and active participation from the private sector 💼, the First Anbar Career Fair was held at the end of November 🎉. The fair featured several key activities, including: A discussion on the labor market in Anbar and its challenges 💬. Certificate distribution to graduates of the ARILA project’s training programs 🎓. Job interviews with around 40 private sector companies 🏢. The creation of job and internship opportunities amounting to 100 positions 💼🚀. Here is Fallujah! In October and November 2024, specialized training sessions for 5 high-demand professions were organized as part of the ARILA project in the city of Fallujah, Anbar, Iraq 🏙️. The courses for "semi-skills development" for a total of 100 trainees included: digital marketing, office administration, electrical installation, home appliance and maintenance (air conditioning), and plumbing.  These sessions aimed to support human capacity development and enhance the professional 💼 and social 🤝 skills of youth and women 👩🎓👨🎓 in the area, contributing to improved employment opportunities 📈 and greater active participation in the local economy 💡   This project is implemented by AMBERO Consulting Gesellschaft mbH and Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw-Gruppe) on behalf Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). ⭐ Yesterday we reported about the successful trainings for LGED engineers by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre in Bangladesh. 📢 Today we are happy to share that the CReLIC team is organizing the “LGED Adaptation Award 2024”, a competition for LGED engineers, featuring three categories: Innovative Ideas, Lessons Learned, and Best Practices. To promote this event, our dear colleague Khairul Islam designed a poster, which has now has been distributed across all 64 districts and 492 Upazilas in Bangladesh, aiming to reach as many LGED officials as possible. 👏 Great job, Khairul Islam! We're looking forward to hearing all about the AWARD soon.
