Great news: our colleagues at Anschütz in Shanghai 🌎 have supplied state-of-the-art Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS) for two new heavy-lift crane vessels. Providing a high level of situational awareness and safe #navigation, the bridge systems feature multifunctional workstations for conning, radar and ECDIS, an autopilot and a triple-gyro compass system. The #IBS were delivered in accordance with the IMO performance standards for integrated navigation systems and the requirements of the Chinese Classification Society. 💪 With decades of experience and extensive expertise, Anschütz Shanghai supports customers in shipbuilding programmes in China, ensuring reliable and safe navigation and bridge systems. Navigational excellence for Australia! Anschütz GmbH is at MAST Australia this week for meetings with our partners and customers, further developing our joint projects. Currently, Anschütz is supplying naval radars with navigation, surveillance and tactical planning capabilities for the ANZAC-class frigate modernisation programme, along with comprehensive logistics and training services. In addition, the design and construction of the warship integrated navigation and bridge systems for the new HUNTER-class frigates is progressing steadily. The Royal Australian Navy will benefit from the most advanced navigation systems on both classes of ships, upgraded with specialised tactical and military functions. #Navigation excellence made in Kiel! 💪 Minister Claus Ruhe Madsen and Armin Wähling from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Employment, Technology and Tourism of Schleswig-Holstein saw this for themselves today during a visit to Anschütz GmbH. It was an honour for us to give our guests an insight into our company and to show them how we use our experience and expertise of more than 100 years in navigation to make shipping ever safer. A visit to Anschütz naturally includes a tour of our gyrocompass production and state-of-the-art mechanical production facilities. Our own products are an important part of integrated navigation, which we can customise with additional functions to meet customer requirements. In our large test and integration facility we were able to demonstrate why Anschütz is one of the pioneers of such integrated navigation systems for commercial shipping and navies. Integrated navigation is also the basis for the next innovation at Anschütz: we are developing autonomous navigation as part of the CAPTN Initiative in Kiel. From our Remote Operation Centre (ROC), Minister Madsen steered the test vessel WAVELAB safely across the Kiel Fjord. Well done!
