December 1st marks a powerful reminder of the ongoing fight against HIV and AIDS - a battle that requires action every single day. Raising awareness, promoting regular testing, and breaking the stigma through open conversations are vital steps toward change. Here are some key global updates: ⭕39.9 million people are currently living with HIV, with 1.3 million new infections recorded in 2023. ⭕Despite advancements, 630,000 lives were lost to AIDS-related illnesses over the past year. ⭕An encouraging 29.3 million people now have access to antiretroviral therapy, but disparities persist in treatment availability. ⭕Alarmingly, 4,000 adolescent girls and young women are newly infected with HIV every week globally, emphasizing the need for targeted prevention efforts
