CONVERSION OF A BUCKET ELEVATOR FOR RAW MEAL TRANSPORT Cement plant in Colombia The bucket elevator chain had already broken three times near the bush: The manufacturer's laminated chain could not withstand the sum of many forces, such as the altitude of up to 2,500 m, a centre distance of 53 m and the rated capacity of 350 t/h. The contact pressure of the chain links was too high. The chain links broke - the chain and buckets collapsed. The plant for raw meal production (grain size < 1 mm) had to be taken out of operation three times to repair the chain. The safety of the operating personnel was no longer guaranteed. The Colombian customer therefore decided to replace the chain with one from AUMUND as early as 2022. The AUMUND companies from Brazil and Germany presented a rebuild solution that provided for an improvement in the quality, design and breaking strength of the chain strand. The entire drive shaft, the chain and all connecting elements were replaced. The new, almost 107 metre long, forged chain from AUMUND in a special design has a breaking force of 1,500 kN and holds the 300 buckets securely. Assembly and adjustments took place in just five days and the subsequent running test demonstrated the success of the conversion. Two inspections in 2023 and 2024 confirmed the excellent result of the assembly two years earlier: less than 1% wear was recorded at the control measuring points. The customer's maintenance manager is very satisfied: ”Two years have passed in which production has run uninterruptedly - without alarms or stops. We in maintenance can sleep peacefully again, especially at weekends.” For further information: https://lnkd.in/gaRdT5Bm #aumundgroup #aumundbrazil #conversion #chainbucketelevator #cement

THE CENTURY OF GIANTS End of an anniversary journey SCHADE machines have arrived in our decade and have found a home on every continent of the world. They are either newly installed or rebuilt for a long, powerful machine life. The machines' storage areas are often covered to minimise emissions, and truss constructions guarantee a lower weight with the same stability. SCHADE technology is still achieving record figures: the largest wagon tippler unit with two unloading lines empties 60 wagons per hour per line – that's 4,200 tonnes per hour. In addition, one of the largest stackers is being constructed for a cement company. It will be 55 metres long, weigh 400 tonnes, and have a reclaiming capacity of 2,500 tonnes per hour. This will be pre-assembled and taken to its final destination on huge transport ships. This, dear readers, marks the conclusion of our logbook, which has documented a 145-year journey. This achievement is the result of a significant amount of adventure, a great deal of pioneering spirit, and an almost boundless passion for very large machines. And this will not change at SCHADE in the 146th year of its existence. We promise. For further information: https://lnkd.in/g3VGHXBA #aumundgroup #schadelagertechnik #145years

OUR SOCIAL COMMITMENT For more than a century, the companies of the AUMUND Group have been dedicated to supporting education, health, and social programmes, which they now carry out together with the Aumund Foundation. This commitment has become increasingly significant following the passing of entrepreneur Franz-W. Aumund in 2023, when the Aumund Foundation became his sole heir. Profits generated by the AUMUND Group flow into the foundation's projects, among other things. Each company within the AUMUND Group is involved in local projects in schools, for families and neighbourhoods, or tries to give young people new courage for life through sport and joint activities. We wish everyone in the world a happy and peaceful year 2025!

THE WALL OF FAME The anniversary year at SCHADE is almost over ... and that's why the wall in the building now also carries on the exciting company history. 145 years captured on the approx. 16 metre long, as we call it, WALL OF FAME. A history that can be experienced from the beginnings with its founder Gustav SCHADE to the machines of the 21st century. #aumundgroup #schadelagertechnik

4 WEEKS FOR 26 MACHINES – MAINTENANCE IN FAST MOTION The AUMUND Field Service team took on a challenging assignment for a cement plant in southern Germany: Over a four-week period, during the scheduled downtime of the plant, the team was tasked with inspecting, repairing and optimising the availability of 26 machines for bulk material transport, including pan conveyors, drag chain conveyors, bucket elevators, steep conveyors, throughed belt conveyors and many more. In addition to the close coordination of the work with the individual production processes and the respective responsible parties, the complex accessibility of the machine components made the tightly scheduled work even more difficult. Throughout the project duration, several service teams were simultaneously confronted with this order fulfilment situation. AUMUND Field Service also assumed overall management of the extensive maintenance package, including all expenses for carrying out the work, such as technical resources and personnel, so that the customer did not have to make any coordination effort. This made it all the more pleasing to hand over the machines on time to the operator of the cement plant, who was impressed not only by the schedule but also by the quality of the service provided by AUMUND Field Service. Alexander Krzykawski, Managing Director Field Service, said: “From the very first meeting with the customer, Stefan Büdding, Director Projects & Technologies, and Ibrahim Naemy, Technical Senior Engineer, were enthusiastic about realizing this project, as the combination of timing and the high level of coordination required presented an exceptional challenge. Upon receipt of the order, Stefan Büdding took over the project management and Ibrahim El-Naemy the site management in order to implement the standard process for the customer – without internal interfaces, but with changing contact persons. The outcome was a great success for both the customer and our company, as evidenced by the placement of an order for the next extensive and similar maintenance package in 2025, immediately following completion of the work.” For further information: https://lnkd.in/gkjfdm2d #aumundgroup #fieldservice #maintenance #cement

CUSTOMER VISIT TO SCHADE The customer travelled to Gelsenkirchen for technical discussions as part of a joint project in Australia. The project entails the installation of a multi-purpose portal bridge reclaimer, which can reclaim bulk material in both side reclaiming (portal reclaimer mode) and front reclaiming (bridge reclaimer mode). The exchange also included visits to AUMUND Fördertechnik in Rheinberg and various SCHADE machines at German sites. The focus was on bridge-type reclaimers, stackers, portal and semi-portal reclaimers for longitudinal storage with a 'history'. The visitors were given a comprehensive overview of the SCHADE portfolio, in particular the different storage technologies and locations, which are in many ways comparable to the Australian location. #aumundgroup #schadelagertechnik #portalreclaimer #australia
