Today is International STEM Day, and it also marks the anniversary of my Ph.D. defence! 🤩 💃 What a perfect coincidence to celebrate #science and all it encompasses! Obtaining this humbling title was one of my biggest dreams, and at times, it was the focal point of my life. To commemorate the journey, I gifted myself a precious ring 💍 🤑 that I wear every day, reminding me of all I overcame along the way. My love for S, T, E, and M started when my mom bought us a few encyclopedias that were imported from Lebanon and took a tiny loan to pay them. Those books were so complicated for me that I was going through them on my free time, contemplating pictures, and saying how can people understand the components of an airplane? What is an engine? how does this really work? 😫 (the name of the #encyclopedia 🤭 ). When I lost hope I decided to use these books and some blank papers my mom used to bring from her high school, in running a company w my siblings, pretending to be a C level. 🤣🤣🤣 After all that's all we had! What an incredible investment my mom made in nurturing curiosity & ambition! ❤️ Let’s make the right #investment too and influence the younger generations w/ the right tools. They definitely have access to everything but often lack guidance. Take a moment to share something exciting about science with a young mind today. As for me, I’ll be calling my niece to explain how the robot dog she saw in our lab works! 🐾🤖 #STEM #PhD #youth

🌟 We participated in the Infineon Startup Challenge 2024 and won the Public Prize! 🏆🎉 The journey began last summer when our CEO, Dr. Máté Tömösközi, took a bold step by entering the challenge, which tasked us with developing a working prototype using Infineon Technologies PSoC 6 AI Kits alongside Imagimob’s ML technology. Máté led the charge to create a prototype from A to Z, pushing the entire bitteiler #team to new heights! 🚀 This success wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible teamwork: 💡 Dr. Christian Scheunert for designing ultra-compact #sensor boards perfectly fitted to Byte’s limbs. 💻 Máté, for swiftly integrating bitteiler's compression technology in our sensors, implementing an AI-agent in the PSoCs that optimizes the compression profiles based on Byte’s movements. 🤖 Eugene Lyutovskiy for creating a real-time digital twin of Byte, running seamlessly with compressed data from the dog's limbs—exactly as we envisioned! 📋 Sandyan Ben youssef for handling the planning and organization. 👩💼 Maroua Taghouti for keeping us all on track, because that’s what she does best in her free time! 🎯 Special thanks to Ann-Christin Bette, who inspired us to join the challenge during the Infineon Startup Day in Dresden 2024, and to Florian Sägebrecht, David Köhler, and Christian Hermeling from launchhub42 for designing and printing Byte's logos!
