Gute Zahlen im dritten Quartal machen Hoffnung!

Nach erfolgreichen Veranstaltungen in Idar-Oberstein und Düsseldorf haben wir in dieser Woche mit unserer Seminarreihe „Synthetische Diamanten erkennen“ in Pforzheim Station gemacht. Die Unterscheidung von synthetischen Diamanten und Diamanten ist deutlich einfacher, als viele in unserer Branche glauben. Und die Idee zu unserem Seminar kommt an, denn Diamanten und synthetische Diamanten sind zwei vollkommen unterschiedliche Produkte, deren Unterscheidbarkeit sowohl für Handel als auch den Verbraucher von großer Bedeutung sind. Joachim Duenkelmann, Guido Grohmann, Jörg Lindemann und Dr. Tom Stephan touren in diesem und im nächsten Jahr für den Handelsverband Juweliere (BVJ, den Bundesverband der Edelstein und Diamantindustrie, den Bundesverband Schmuck, Uhren, Silberwaren und verwandte Industrien e. V. und die Deutsche Gemmologische Gesellschaft e.V. durch Deutschland um die Unterscheidbarkeit der beiden Produkte zu entmystifizieren. Für das letzte Seminar am 27. "As a representative of the Responsible Jewellery Council, I had the opportunity to attend the inaugural Sustainable Jewellery Day hosted by Bundesverband Schmuck + Uhren in Pforzheim. The event brought together experts to discuss critical sustainability issues facing the jewellery and watch industry, from ethical sourcing and recycled gold to the impacts of global events on the sector. The day was filled with engaging discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities that provided deep insights into the future of sustainable jewellery. Massive thank you to the organisers (Guido Grohmann) for the opportunity to participate and for providing us with exhibition space to showcase our work on responsible practices and certifications. It was a fantastic chance to engage with industry leaders, share valuable resources, and promote sustainable standards across the supply chain. Our first Sustainable Jewellery Day was a great success! We experienced a long and eventful day, with important information and sometimes controversial discussions. This will provide impetus for the future. At the request of many participants, we can already say with certainty that we will continue the conference format. This event offers valuable insights and impulses from within the industry, for the industry and is hosted by the Bundesverband Schmuck, Uhren, Silberwaren und verwandte Industrien e. V.   Sustainability is a topic of significant interest within the industry. Schmuckausstellung in Pforzheim: uncommonly brilliant conversations Anlässlich des Pforzheimer Kulturfestivals Ornamenta 2024 findet die außergewöhnliche und übergreifende Schmuckausstellung "uncommonly brilliant conversations" im Rahmenprogramm „Ornamenta Lust“ statt. Sie zeigt das aktuelle Schmuckschaffen Pforzheims in aller seinen Facetten. Die Kuratorinnen Christine Lüdeke und Elizabeth Fisher zeigen die Kompetenz, Innovationskraft und ästhetische sowie technische Souveränität, welches den internationalen Impact des Schmuckschaffen Pforzheims von Industrie bis Schmuckkunst ausmacht. Die Ausstellung stellt aktuelle Arbeiten von maßgebenden Firmen, eigenständige Labels, Schmuckkünstler*innen und neue, jungen Stimmen, die in Pforzheim arbeiten und oder studiert haben, in ungewöhnliche Dialoge miteinander. Der BVSU unterstützt gemeinsam mit seiner Servicegesellschaft Deutsche Schmuck Und Uhren GmbH die Ausstellung durch eine Mitfinanzierung des ab nächste Woche erhältlichen Kataloges zur Ausstellung. Die Ausstellung ist noch bis zum 29. September 2024 zu sehen, jeweils Freitag bis Sonntag, 10:00 – 20:00 Uhr.
