For once, the fresh smell of pizza is in the air in Hall 12 on the Knesebeck factory site - without the usual smell of burnt metal and oil. The machines are at a standstill, but it is still noisy: conversations between colleagues echo through the hall. Traditionally, all employees gather on the last working day of the year for the end-of-year meeting. The management reports on the past year and sets the motto for the day: "Together we have achieved a lot. BUTTING is doing well. Let us now enjoy a few pleasant hours together! Discussions about Christmas and New Year plans bring the day and the working year to a close. On Wednesday, a blood donation campaign took place on our premises in Knesebeck. “Every day, 14.000 blood donations are needed in Germany. We want to do our part for society, which is why we planned and organised the campaign together with the German Red Cross", reports Jan Holz, Human Resources. In total, 50 employees took the opportunity to donate blood. Of these, more than 20 % were first-time donors. “This is an exceptionally high rate and also shows us that our campaign has reached colleagues who might not have otherwise become aware of the issue of blood donation", said Jan Holz, pleased with the response from employees.  The donations will help up to 150 patients in the future. Progress by tradition BUTTING has been living this principle for almost 250 years. On 1 January 2025, we will be taking the next step towards securing our future. The introduction of SAP S/4HANA will enable us to optimise further processes and put us in a secure position for the coming years. The modernisation of the ERP system will result in two important dates for our customers and business partners for the 2025 financial statements: - Invoices for 2024 should be received by 13 December to ensure timely payment - Other business activities (orders, enquiries, etc.) will be possible until 17 December   From 02 January 2025, BUTTING will be available as usual - with an improved system infrastructure.
