What an intensive, rewarding week in the USA. Our Managing Director, Dr. Christina Quensel, was part of the “Berlin goes USA” business delegation from Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Berlin Senate Chancellery. “With this large delegation trip, Berlin has shown a strong commitment to our business location and the healthcare industry in the capital region,” says Dr. Quensel. “The tour was perfectly prepared with a tight schedule. It was a great opportunity for networking and learning from the local life science hubs. A big thank you from us to the organizers and hosts! It was also a great opportunity for the start-ups in the delegation, including MyoPax and Captain T Cell with ground-breaking therapeutic approaches from Campus Berlin-Buch. 👉 Exciting to see how strong the life science ecosystem in New York City has become in a very short space of time and what programs NY State offers for international exchange within the scene. 👉 The Bayer Co.Lab in Boston Cambridge is part of Bayer's international network to accelerate innovation. The Co.Lab in Berlin offers start-ups the opportunity to be on site in Boston - in its dynamic ecosystem. 👉 The CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center) impresses with its active networking and exchange between pharmaceutical companies, venture capitalists and start-ups. This is why Big Pharma is locating there. Start-ups, in turn, can rent affordable workstations and immerse themselves in the ecosystem. By comparison, our life science ecosystem in the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region is growing and offers very good conditions. Lighthouse projects such as “Unite” can bundle additional resources in tech transfer. There is potential above all in better interlinking of the hubs from Berlin to Potsdam. A higher density increases the attraction for pharmaceutical companies and venture capitalists - Boston is a prime example of this.” Click here for the detailed news: https://lnkd.in/dPEGySYE #GemeinsamfürBerlin #IHKBerlin #BerlinerWirtschaft #NYC #BerlingoesUSA #Innovationstransfer #Technologietransfer #Boston #Innovation #Biotech #Entrepreneurship #investinberlin Sebastian Stietzel, Robert Rueckel, Stefan Franzke, Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH, Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Betriebe, Berlin Business Office USA, Johannes Fruehauf, BioLabs, Emily Westhoven, German-American Business Council of Boston, Inc., Mass General Brigham, Fiona Mack, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Sonja Jost, DUDE CHEM, Dr. Henry Marx, Kai Uwe Bindseil, Markus Facklam, Tim Schneider, Lars Mölbitz, German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.
