We were delighted to lead a two full-day #circulardesign workshop in October with Peek & Cloppenburg* B.V. & Co. KG, Düsseldorf for their exclusive brands. With our powerful combination of Circular Product Portfolio Analysis and Circular Design training, the teams reflected upon the status quo of existing products and rose to the challenge of redesigning them and creating concrete circular concepts. To support the design thinking process, participants were provided with expert inputs covering a wide range of topics from circular inputs to circular business models, #ecodesign requirements and DPP to #greenclaims legislation, plus circular.fashion’s Circular Design Kit, and a curated assortment of inspirational garments and material cards from our library. The results were impressive! We are proud to see brands and retailers embracing this evolving space and to support them on their journey towards circularity. 💡

As one of the official nominators for the Global Change Award we are now on the lookout for a wide range of changemakers who can help decarbonise & circularise fashion! We are looking for passionate individuals – systems thinkers, creatives, researchers, entrepreneurs and more - who are addressing high emission areas & circularity along the textile value chain, that we can nominate to the H&M Foundation. The innovation should be early-stage and focus on sustainable materials and processes, responsible production, mindful consumption or be a wildcard that supports the GCA purpose and circularity in fashion. Do you know of someone? Message us at team@circular.fashion with why they should be nominated! #decarbonisingfashion #fashioninnovation #circularfashion

We are so thrilled to be in Pakistan offering a series of events & workshops on Ecodesign & Circular Manufacturing together with GIZ Pakistan. Our biggest takeway so far is that we need more of these pre-competitive collaborative spaces for brands and manufacturers to come together to design & scale products for #circularity.

Some shots of our talk at the 202030 Berlin Fashion Summit in early July! Our co-founder Ina Budde spoke on a panel together with one of our clients, Julian Aisslinger from Marc O'Polo SE, about the great work we are doing together to progress circularity in the textile industry. She also shared a presentation about the great success (so far) of the ICTI project, a GIZ funded project circular.fashion is leading connecting 5 German brands, manufacturers, sorters and recyclers to prepare the industry for upcoming EU regulations. Here is what Lisa from SNOCKS has to say about the project so far: “At SNOCKS, the ICTI project has taught us about circular design principles and upcoming industry regulations. By working closely with our factories, we can also educate our manufacturers. Thanks to the professionalism of the circular.fashion team, we are confident about the future.” We look forward to doing many more collaborative projects in the future! Did you attend the talk? If so, what did you learn? Photo credit: Philipp Gross for Studio MM04 #circularfashion #circularity
