Mandatory e-invoicing is coming in 2025! Are you really ready? E-invoicing will be mandatory in Germany from 1 January 2025, which means that from that date you will be legally obliged to be able to receive and process electronic invoices that comply with the EU standard EN 16931. The problem is that a simple PDF invoice is not an e-invoice. And not every e-invoice is EN 16931 compliant. There are very specific guidelines that need to be met. But what do you need to consider for a legally compliant invoicing process, and what does the actual implementation look like in your company?
