🌍🔋 We are pleased to announce our participation in the Global Battery Alliance's 2024 Battery Passport pilots, marking an important step towards improving transparency and sustainability in battery value chains. 🔋🌏 As part of the GBA's collaborative efforts, CATL contributed to two #pilot projects for its Shenxing and CTP #batteries. These projects, verified by independent agencies, reflect our ongoing commitment to fostering a greener and more sustainable future. Highlights include: 👣 A carbon footprint of 49 kgCO2eq/kWh across both pilots, showcasing efforts to reduce #emissions throughout the battery lifecycle. 🍃 Strong alignment with Battery Passport criteria, focusing on #transparency, traceability, and environmental considerations. 📚 Development of seven rulebooks addressing key #sustainability topics such as greenhouse gas emissions, circular design, and biodiversity. CATL is proud to support this initiative, which aligns with our broader vision for sustainable development and #circularity. By collaborating with industry partners, we aim to contribute to global standards for battery sustainability and promote advancements in regulatory and product #innovation.

Last month, we held an insightful workshop with the management team, focused on team #commitment and #ownership. Following the workshop, we had the opportunity to join the CATL Basketball Löwen for a training session at a sports hall in Arnstadt. 🏀 It was not just about physical training – the Lions also shared their strategies and mindset on what it takes to become #1 in #basketball. A great experience learning from their dedication and vision! 🦁

Every tree counts – and every effort makes a difference! 🌍 Given the challenges posed by climate change, it’s more important than ever to transform our forests into resilient mixed woodlands. The initiative we started together with BAUMPATEN THÜRINGEN® is helping to significantly improve CO2 balance and create habitats for numerous species. Our cooperation with Fraunhofer IKTS is entering the next stage! 👨🔬🔬 At our Test and Validation Center - located at Erfurter Kreuz in Thuringia - we jointly explore new means to increase battery longevity. To that end we are simulating different environments and usage patterns in over 200 climate chambers spanning more than1,000 square meters. 📜🏅 The facility has recently been awarded an official accreditation according to international quality standards DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 by Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS). Key highlights of our project: 🌀 Increased Range & Efficiency: By allowing rapid battery swaps, we aim to maximize vehicle uptime and extend operational range. ⚡ Custom Solutions: Tailored battery modules will meet the diverse needs of eTrailer users, reducing reliance on traditional charging infrastructure. ⌚ Fleet Uptime: Higher utilization of fleet vehicles due to significantly reduced charging time from 3 hours to 5 minutes. The new basketball season has started - and with a bang! 🏀 In the first home game against Porsche Basketball Akademie Ludwigsburg, CATL Basketball Löwen fans were treated to quite the thriller that our team narrowly lost by two points in overtime. In addition to many spectacular scenes, the high level of fair play and the - as always - great atmosphere in Riethsporthalle were impressive to watch. 😤 It is clear that our team still needs some time to develop in the coming weeks, especially with the numerous young talents from the region. The CATL Basketball Löwen are known for their outstanding promotion of young talent, and this year the focus has been expanded even further: seven of the 18 players are from their own U19 Bundesliga team. This weekend we are excited to welcome VR-Bank Würzburg Baskets Akademie to Erfurt. Come and join us on Sunday 16:00 at Riethsporthalle!
