Desirable Futures SWG

Our Desirable Futures SWG community is growing: scholars who wish to have an impact with and through science. Future-oriented, imagination-focused and values-based. EGOS (European Group for Organizational Studies) in Milan was such a delightful gathering. And so much more is happening in the (near) future: special issues, meetings, collaborations. Thank you Amanda N Williams, Tima Bansal & Ju Young Lee for organizing the PDW on "Research Methods and Strategies for Co-Creating Desirable Futures with Practitioners" Thank you Miriam Feuls, Raghu Garud & Tima Bansal for organizing the sub-theme on "Innovating for Desirable Futures: Exploring the Intersection of Innovation, Sustainability, and Time" And thank you all for taking part, for co-creating a beautiful, forward-looking and forward-acting experience. At EGOS in 2025, we will offer a PDW, Sub-Theme and Sub-Plenary. Next, we will meet at Academy of Management in Chicago for a Social together with SAP. Out now one of the most radical pieces I have ever (co)written. Together with Juliane Reinecke, we argue for future-oriented scholarship.
