ICE 31st Edition | 2025 Valencia | https://lnkd.in/e2vQBtjG We are eager to share the call for papers for the 31st ICE/IEEE ITMC conference. Next year’s edition is very special to us, as our research field of 'Entrepreneurship' has been recognized as one of the conference’s core topics, chaired by Dr. Kevin Reuther and Prof. Dr. Christina Ungerer. We are not just grateful for this recognition but also very excited to leverage that new role towards the continued success of the ICE/IEEE ITMC! We invite everyone to submit a paper across all topics – whether Engineering, Technology, Innovation or Entrepreneurship! It is this diversity that makes ICE such a unique and inspiring event every year, especially when addressing the broad and overarching implications of a topic like AI. And if you are doing your PhD or are interested in supporting PhD candidates, don’t miss NITIM, which will once again be held in collaboration with the ICE/IEEE ITMC conference on the days leading up to the event. Check out the link at the top for all the details on the call, or visit the homepage at https://lnkd.in/dHgSmuh9 for an overview of the event. We’ll be there – will we see you in Valencia?

The fourth MoLeWa Mobilität - Leipzig im Wandel Netzwerkforum last week at the Mediencampus Villa Ida provided a platform for some important exchange against the backdrop of current and serious challenges in the German automotive industry, ranging from regulatory and supply chain complexities to news from automotive companies. While these serious topics were on everyone's mind, the positive mindset within our network remains as driven as ever, and the event offered moments with engaging and inspiring sessions. One standout was the TÜV SÜD Akademie’s presentation of their VR training solution, ivee (https://lnkd.in/ef9vudnw), showcasing how digital learning can evolve through innovative technology. Jerome Billhardt tried it out in a car workshop simulation and put on the digital safety gloves. Thank you to Stefanie Richter and Gerd Neudert for hosting. Another light-hearted yet engaging piece for us was playing our MoLeWa-version of “Family Feud”. It was a fun way to see everyone getting involved and sharing a laugh; with our very own fact check to round it up and keep us honest! #automotive #mobility #transformation #network

For anyone with a bit of reading time over the weekend and an interest in promoting sustainable business practices through the lens of entrepreneurial ecosystems (EEs), here’s another paper worth diving into! (https://lnkd.in/eV9hk-Xx) "Fostering Environmentally Sustainable Business: Analysis of Factors from an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Perspective" explores the drivers of sustainable practices within EEs. The authors Akriti Chandra, Dhirendra Mani Shukla, Dr Seema Sharma, & Gourav Dwivedi identify 86 key factors influencing environmentally sustainable business (ESB) practices, organized into 10 categories across ecosystem components. Through expert interviews and Total Interpretive Structural Modelling (TISM), the research establishes a layered framework categorizing factors into high-impact, linkage, and supporting levels. This complex web of interrelations offers valuable insights for managers and policymakers, underscoring the need for strategic, context-sensitive approaches to foster sustainability. #Sustainability #EntrepreneurialEcosystems #SystemsThinking #Governance Chandra, A., Shukla, D. At the end of September, we facilitated the first of three IntraLab workshops with the L.I.T. Gruppe as part of the MoLeWa Mobilität - Leipzig im Wandel project. Held at GRÜNDERZEIT Zwickau, the session brought together employees from various departments across Leipzig and Zwickau to pool ideas and resources for making production and transformation processes more resource-efficient. In this fresh setting, using interactive methods, we sparked discussions that moved beyond the typical day-to-day pressures. During the workshop, it became clear that despite coming from different departments, many participants were facing similar challenges in their transformation processes. Those shared experiences gradually led to a clearer understanding of each other's situations, sharpening their perspectives and sparking new ideas for addressing these issues. Recognizing that colleagues across different units often face similar obstacles helps shift the focus away from individual concerns, opening up fresh momentum and a sense of shared commitment to tackle these challenges. We are close to lining up the next workshop, and until then, Eric Gille from ACOD Automotive Cluster Ostdeutschland and Andreas Gloess from entreprenerdy are working with the teams to stay on track through online consultations. #transformation #innovation #MoLeWa

A New Chapter for Our Chair Team in the MoLeWa Project – Farewell to Anique Hadeler, Passing the Baton to Carolin Schmidt! With both joy and sadness, we say goodbye to Dr. Anique Hadeler, who is now leaving us – freshly graduated and with her doctorate in hand – heading to Hamburg to take on new challenges in the field of digital transformation. It’s been a pleasure having Anique on the team; her open nature brought many lighthearted moments, and her research took her around the world, allowing her to share fascinating insights with us. We are, of course, proud of her summa cum laude doctorate from our chair and are confident that her journey will continue upwards. We wish her all the best for whatever the future may hold! At the same time, we are excited that Carolin will now take the lead for our chair team in the MoLeWa Mobilität - Leipzig im Wandel project, continuing Anique’s successful work. Carolin will be the main contact person for all things MoLeWa at our chair. So, if you are looking to collaborate with us on this, you know who to reach out to! We look forward to the exciting challenges ahead in the MoLeWa project and are eager to move forward with Carolin representing our interests. #summacumlaude #digitaltransformation #innovationintheteam

We are happy for our colleague Isaac Duodu, who participated in the week-long summer school hosted by Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg (HAW Hamburg), Campus Berliner Tor, and organized by the African-German Doctoral Summer School and Horizon Resource Network e.V. Glad you got so much out of it, Isaac! It seems like a truly enriching event, and definitely one to keep in mind for anyone seeking a similar opportunity in the future!
What a week of energizing emotions, awakening, insightful knowledge sharing, impactful connections, and integration! I am elated to share my participation in the week-long Summer School hosted by HAW Hamburg, Campus Berliner Tor, and organized by the African-German Doctoral Summer School and Horizon Resource Network. This unique event united PhD candidates from Africa, academic professionals, and experts from diverse backgrounds to exchange knowledge, ultimately supporting doctoral students through their journey in Germany and fostering collaborations. How can I forget the impressive presentations by Dr. Phemelo Tamasiga on the Systematic Literature Review: A Bibliometric Analysis, Project Management Training by Ulrike von Mickwitz, Self-Leadership by Yinka Kehinde and many others? The highlight for me was the social networking and feeling free amid like-minded and spirited peers who share similar values and hopes. I am grateful to the leading organizers: Adekunle Adedeji, Taiwo Fagbemigun, Ph.D. and Fola Ogungbemi, PhD for your immense support. I give special love to my colleagues who showed up to spice up my life. 🌍 Unlocking Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Insights from Recent Research 🌱 We are excited to share some compelling insights from a recent Chaudhary et al. (2023) study titled "Connecting the dots? Entrepreneurial ecosystems and sustainable entrepreneurship as pathways to sustainability." https://lnkd.in/eY4ycNE7 This research sheds light on the vital role of entrepreneurial ecosystems in fostering sustainable ventures. Here are three takeaway points from this study: - Collaboration is Key: Diverse actors must work together for sustainable entrepreneurship to thrive. - Focus on Sustainability: Ecosystems prioritize environmental and social outcomes alongside economic gains. - Context Matters: Legal and cultural support shapes entrepreneurial success. As we navigate the complexities of sustainability, it's clear that fostering robust entrepreneurial ecosystems is essential for creating a more sustainable future.
