  • Have you ever felt that interviewing leadership prospects is a waste of time? You spend weeks – sometimes months – trying to find suitable candidates, only to realise that none of them really fit the bill.    This happens more often than you might think. The truth is: many interviews come to nothing because the candidate selection process was not thorough enough beforehand. For you as a hiring manager, this means seemingly endless interviews that go nowhere, and in the end, you haven't made any progress – but you've wasted a lot of time.    This is exactly where executive search consultants come into play. A good consultant reliably ensures that:    🔍 the candidate pool is carefully pre-selected  🔍 both sides are perfectly prepared for the interview  🔍 the success rate of the search increases significantly    ➡️ The result? Less time wasted. More breakthroughs. And a process in which you only have to fill the position once.    For all those who want to delve deeper into the topic: Our whitepaper "Why many interviews are a waste of time ... and how to avoid this in your next executive search" offers valuable insights into optimising the entire interview process.    📕Read the whitepaper here: https://lnkd.in/dZmcX-K3     💬 What are your life hacks for interviews? • How do candidates determine your company's value to them? 🤔    Many executives and HR managers spend valuable time in interviews talking about themselves and the company. They aim to explain who they are, what they stand for and why their company is excellent.    This approach, however, misses some essential aspects:    🔹 What is actually crucial for the candidate to know?  🔹 What will their own work for the company look like?  🔹 What does the company expect of them?  🔹 Does the organisation indeed live what it claims?    Long explanations do not leave lasting impressions. It is much more effective if the candidate experiences your company and your values rather than just hearing about them. When you demonstrate your culture and values during the interview, you create an authentic image that builds trust.    Showing is better than telling.    📕In our whitepaper "Why many interviews are a waste of time ... and how to avoid this in your next executive search", you can find out how you can turn interviews into a competitive advantage: https://lnkd.in/dZmcX-K3    💭 Which interview approaches do you find most effective?  🔄 Share this post with others if you found it helpful!    #ExecutiveSearch #Interviews #ResultsThroughPeople

  • How often have you experienced a video call reaching the full depth of a face-to-face interview?     There's a reason why face-to-face conversations are so powerful: Remote interviews don't capture the same depth. The subtle signals of communication are missing – body language, presence, energy – in short, everything that helps us build a real connection.    What if you dismiss the best candidate because the camera distorts the picture? What if the spark doesn't ignite because technical difficulties get in the way? Remote interviews reduce the exchange to the essentials, and that's exactly what makes the difference.    Instead of seeing remote interviews as a substitute for traditional interviews, hiring managers should use them as an effective tool towards the beginning of the selection process – a first hurdle that separates the wheat from the chaff before investing valuable time in face-to-face conversations. This approach offers decisive advantages:    🔹 Save time and resources: only meet those who fit.  🔹 Broad selection of candidates: be more flexible.  🔹 Efficient pre-selection: recognise charisma early on.  🔹 Optimise your planning: avoid wasting time effectively.    Learn how to use remote interviews to make more efficient decisions without losing the personal connection. Our whitepaper shows you how to optimise the recruitment process and save time and resources.    📕Read the white paper now: https://lnkd.in/dh85MMJW      💬 What stumbling blocks have you experienced in interviews? • Take a break and ready how the scientific facts can influence for a better interview process and how do you ensure your interviews are compelling?    Often, leaders rely on their instincts, only to realise after the interview that they need to catch up on critical information. The result? Key topics are left unaddressed, and a fair comparison of all candidates becomes nearly impossible.    Austrian psychologist Heinz Schuler discovered that semi-structured interviews significantly improve the quality of decision-making. Schuler outlines eight chapters that structure the interview as follows:    1. Start of the conversation – Create a positive atmosphere  2. Self-presentation – Strengths and experiences  3. Open conversation – Clarify open questions  4. Biographical questions – Discuss relevant milestones  5. Job information – Review position requirements  6. Situational questions – Test responses in scenarios  7. Technical questions – Assess relevant expertise  8. Interview conclusion – Summarize and give an outlook    This clear structure provides clarity, saves time, and helps guide the conversation, ensuring questions are asked at the right moment. Want to learn more about this method?    📕 Discover how to enhance the quality of your interviews with semi-structured methods in the Executive Insights Whitepaper https://lnkd.in/dZmcX-K3    💬 What challenges have you experienced in interviews?  🔄 Share this post if you think it can help others!    If you need more information, please contact me at any time: https://lnkd.in/dj4xY97n     #ExecutiveSearch #Leadership #Hiring #Interviews #ResultsThroughPeople #BestPractices

  • "HR, please organise 10 interviews by Monday!" Does this sound familiar? "Realistic" is something else. 🙅 The problem:     Many companies believe that filling management positions is a fast-track process. The result? Inefficient interviews, unclear requirements and frustration on both sides.    Filling a management position is much more complex than many expect. Here are 5 things the HR department can't just magically do:    ⭕️ Clear requirements – HR can make assumptions, but the exact definition of competencies for the role must come from the manager's future work area.    ⭕️ Future-orientated role description – It is not enough to know what the last manager did. Which way is the position heading?    ⭕️ Transparent framework conditions – Before interviews start, points such as remuneration, mobility and options for working remotely must be clarified.    ⭕️ Thorough pre-selection – The Interview stage should be the final step after the best candidates have already been identified.    ⭕️ Structured interviews – Without a clear interview plan, you will waste valuable time and not get meaningful results.    The process behind finding and selecting a manager is not magic, but it can be made much more efficient with the right structure. Read our whitepaper to find out how you can optimise your interview process and get the most out of your next executive search:    📕 Read the white paper here: https://lnkd.in/dZmcX-K3    💬 Join the conversation: How do YOU ensure that interviews in your company are well structured and efficient?    #Leadership #Interviews #Hiring #ExecutiveSearch #BestPractices #ResultsThroughPeople
