    What must we let go of to truly transform production? 👋 In a recent workshop with the Serviceplan Group MAKE leadership team, Alexander Nagel asked me: What must we let go of to truly transform production? This question struck a chord because it challenges us to rethink where transformation really begins. For me, transformation starts with presence and vulnerability - qualities no tool or technology can solve. They build the trust, transparency, and connection we need to rethink how we collaborate, from the first client briefing to final delivery. Technology will support us, but it must follow - not lead. The cracks in traditional systems become most visible in production - tighter budgets, shorter timelines, and growing complexity expose the limits of rigid hierarchies, centralized decision-making, and the illusion of control. These challenges can’t be solved by tools or production-only fixes. Not even by creators. 😄 They demand a holistic shift toward human-first systems built on adaptability, shared accountability, and expertise-based co-creation. Letting go means releasing outdated paradigms: the need for pre-defined answers, the idea that anyone can "know it all," and hierarchies that stifle collaboration. Instead, we have the opportunity to embrace: 👉 #Transparency, so everyone is informed and empowered to make decisions. 👉 #Shared #accountability, acknowledging strengths and true ownership of tasks. 👉 #Cocreation, bringing in the right expertise, whether AI, Culture, Gaming, or beyond. 👉 #Vulnerability and #presence, fostering trust and connection for real transformation Yes, tighter budgets and timelines are challenging, but they’re also opportunities to start with people first - to design systems that foster presence, connection, and innovation.     100 hours of Arabella, Britt, and Olli Geissen (German Talkshows) meet scripted comedy for TikTok in SD, and four fantastic creators in an agile co-creation! TL;DR: Yes, the 2000s are fun. And it's even more fun to get the opportunity to work on projects with a crystal clear vision from agency and client side combined with the joy to work collaboratively across all departments. Our latest production and co-creation with charles & charlotte - we're hiring! for fraenk - die Mobilfunk App pushes boundaries just the way we like: TikTok meets 2000s TV production in SD, creators work alongside a show-camera team, and we completed the online before the shoot. 😁 Pre-Production was two weeks, first assets went live after only five days. Over the next few days, around 25 assets are going live on fraenk's TikTok and IG channels. Let fraenk entertain you.     I don’t care about the content we produce… …Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. But what I do care about is the collaboration and the co-creative process. Too often, we see "great outcomes" winning prizes and being celebrated, while the collaboration behind the scenes is chaotic, and stakeholders across departments and companies are treated poorly. This does not work and people feel it. We need to change the mindset. HOW we collaborate should be at least as important as WHAT we produce. Our industry is becoming more complex every day, demanding an unparalleled level of resilience and skill. The old waterfall is dying - just like intransparent and disrespectful leadership that withholds information and doesn't take decisions. In our recent collaboration with Jung von Matt SPREE and eBay Deutschland, we set a new benchmark together — not just in what we produced, but in how we collaborated. The result goes beyond just colorful images; it’s a shared growth and a deeper understanding of how teams and processes can be structured to meet today’s marketing challenges. These are the kinds of outcomes that go beyond prizes — they empower people to redefine what a "great outcome" truly means while they deliver creative excellence without burnout. This is exactly what we do at fount.space. We design collaborative processes and produce digital-first content. To those who believe that "Creative Excellence requires pain," I completely disagree. Excellence requires communication on eye level, brilliant talent curation, strong leadership that makes quick decisions, and the elimination of silos. In the ebay collaboration a joint team (brand, agency, media, production) managed to realize an entire 360 campaign in 1/4 of regular timing while saving significant overhead on brand, agency and media agency side. 👏🏻 A huge thank you to the eBay team — Bettina L., Eileen Tröger, Malaika Ewald, Tanja Contreras Morales — for rising to the challenge and going all in. 🚀 High five to Jung von Matt SPREEFranziska Spiess, Inka Weigl (like BÄM), Sarah Dornieden (she/her), Ramona Junggeburth, Jan Schmechtig (he/him) — and everyone involved, for bravely rethinking how collaboration can be set up and trusting us. ❤️ And to the incredible fount.space team — Noelani Dreksler, Diana Helle, Jo Glenk, Ivan Boljat, Sascha Priesters, Frederike Wetzels, and everyone involved — you were beyond amazing and willing to embrace a new process that required rethinking production! 🦓 A special shoutout to Heike Ehmann (#ELMO), Miriam Wilhelm and like a zebra for empowering us since years and believing in our approach — even when it took years (!) to convert into a project! 😀 I’m incredibly thankful for opportunities like this, built on trust.     🎓 "Why we need a new #leadership culture in producing - or why I think the classic collaboration model between client, agency and production is F****d." Today, I had the pleasure of returning to my university, Hamburg Media School, to give a masterclass (title above) to a group of wonderful production students. This experience was particularly moving as I sensed a hesitancy among some students towards traditional agency and line producer roles. I can relate. However, I also felt the excitement and energy in the room at the prospect of #rethinking the #producer #role and how we #collaborate. I am convinced that the complexity of our industry provides new opportunities for producers to shape projects strategically from the start. To effectively lead integrated teams (brand, strategy, creative), producers should define and communicate clear production realities, boundaries, and opportunities at every stage. Like this we ensure that concepts are both highly creative and feasible within the given parameters of time and budget—no work for the trash! 😎 The reluctance of young talent to work in established environments is a major factor in the brain drain in our industry and leads to a lack of innovation in process and outcome. To attract and retain young production talent, we—agencies, production companies, and brands—need to foster a new culture of collaboration that #values skills over job titles, mindsets over outdated processes, and agile collaboration over hierarchies. And yes, pay is also a critical issue. Let's be more vulnerable and try things that are safe enough to try. Let's trust the process and move #from #ego #to #eco.     Maria Galani and The Walt Disney Company Germany asked us if we could produce a „One Shot“ with RYAN REYNOLDS und HUGH JACKMAN and four major German creators. Within a time slot of 30 minutes. So zero room for f***-ups. 🤓 Parallel we shot several other social assets - one after the soccer match 🇹🇷x🇳🇱 in Berlin Olympiastadion. Together with the original Deadpool stunt double (Video in Comments). Wild. It's these kind of "just some social media" projects that require a strong producing, very precise team orchestration and incredible attention to detail. That combo unleashes 300% fount.space energy. Shoutout to Sarah Friedmann, Jana Lackner-Gebler, Michael Tulgay and of cause Maria Galani and Jan Nicolas König for your unique collaboration approach and the level of trust such a project requires. It was perfect.
