Just released: PFG volume 93, issue 1: https://lnkd.in/eNiAMUWq
From the editorial: In the last volume (92), 2024, an over-average number of papers were published in PFG. This is also because of several theme issues which were collected, and I want to thank all authors, editors, and guest editors for their dedicated work. Moreover, as we all know, reviewers are indispensable in maintaining quality. Therefore, the names of reviewers who helped with the papers from volume 92 are listed in the report section of this issue. All papers are online here: https://lnkd.in/eG5nG_pp
Issue 1 of volume 93 again demonstrates our broad range of topics. Madadikhaljan and Michael Schmitt show the added value of locally adapted deep learning models, where regional properties are considered. Xu et al. (co-authored by Dr. rer. nat. Ksenia Bittner) present a method that combines building detection and outline polygonization to enhance building reconstruction from remote sensing images. Higher-resolution images are used by Bazzo et al., who employ UAV-based images in the context of biomass estimation. Image geometry is addressed by Wang et al. and Adıyaman et al. While the former paper focuses on optimizing structure-from-motion pipelines, the latter addresses stripe correction for Landsat‑7 data. Poku-Agyemang and Alexander Reiterer present a method to co-register and fuse point clouds from different sources in their article. Enjoy reading!
