Three days at the IndiAirport in New Delhi: GATE and its members are now real India 🇮🇳 experts! At least as far as the aviation and airport sector is concerned 😊 At the show, which this year is supported by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz, we had the opportunity to talk to airport operators about the new projects and developments! ✈️ The facts and figures continue to impress us! Just like the hospitality of the organizers! 13 Gate members presented their solutions and products - German representatives together with their Indian colleagues! 🇮🇳IndiAirport opened its doors today!✈️ And of course with the participation of GATE - The Airport Technology Network once again - this time supported by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz/ German Pavilion. Delegation trip to India 🇮🇳 First meeting of GATE - The Airport Technology Network and its members in New Delhi: We had the chance to exchange ideas intensively with GMR Group! 🇵🇱GATE goes East🇵🇱 factory tour, language lessons and bowling included 👍 At its facilities in Poland, Wiechlice and Nowa Sól, Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG develops and manufactures innovative drive technology such as the highly efficient IE5+ motor and the DuoDrive gear motor unit. ⚙️ This is made possible by the advanced production technology and the dedicated team on site. 💪 However, GATE - The Airport Technology Network now knows that the employees of the long-standing association member have other talents as well. These are perfect event organization and first-class hospitality. During the two-day event in the run-up to the General Assembly, we could hardly decide whether we were more impressed by the precise production or the supporting program, peppered with numerous Polish delicacies.🧁 No wonder, then, that the Annual General Assembly ran smoothly with such a set-up. The plans for 2025, including numerous trade fairs, the GATE FUTURE and the GATE Airport Days, were presented by Jens Reinhard and the Board was re-elected without dissenting votes. We are delighted that we will be able to continue with Kay Baerenfaenger as President for the next few years. The Vice Presidents Patricia Vasconcelos and Johannes Sittig were also confirmed in their positions. Christoph Oftring succeeds Treasurer Ernst-August Gohde, who is retiring. Christoph Ebert, Vice President Sustainability, is a new member of the Board. We would like to thank all members for their trust and especially Nord Napędy sp. z o.o. for their warm welcome! 💐

✈ Day 2 in Jeddah full of input! 👉 A jam-packed day in Jeddah marked the end of our delegation trip with GATE - The Airport Technology Network. After very interesting meetings with SAL Saudi Logistics Services and SGS - Saudi Ground Services, we went to the Aviation Roundtable with the Jeddah Chamber غرفة جدة. Our trip ended with a very successful meeting at Jedco KSA, where we gained many interesting insights on the current development plans on Jeddah International Airport. 💐 Thanks to the participants for a great trip and many thanks to Kevin Fischer and Jens Reinhard from GATE - The Airport Technology Network for their trust. We are looking forward to next year's trip! ✈ Successful Day 1 in Riyadh! 🌟 The first day of our delegation trip with GATE - The Airport Technology Network was a great success! 💬 We started the day with a briefing and roundtable in our office. Our Delegate Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte and Julia Nordmann from the German Embassy gave an overview on the #aviation #industry here in #SaudiArabia. In order to learn from the firsthand experiences, company representatives attended the meeting. 💺 After the briefing we had interesting discussions with MATARAT Holding | مطارات القابضة, Riyadh Airports and GACA - General Authority of Civil Aviation - Saudi Arabia before departing to #Jeddah in the evening. The Saudi Airport Exhibition opens its doors today. And we from GATE - The Airport Technology Network are more than welcome to be part of it with several member companies.   Having the CEO of MATARAT Holding | مطارات القابضة, Raed Al-Idrissi at the GATE pavilion this morning was certainly a highlight.   I would also like to thank Ali Rajab Executive Vice President of GACA - General Authority of Civil Aviation - Saudi Arabia for opening the conference.   This is the first time I've been to Saudi Arabia and I am completely overwhelmed by the country. I would recommend everyone to experience the country and its people. The change here is tangible and it’s where future happens.

🚘 From Classic Cars to Cutting-Edge Tech 🚀 In the midst of true oldtimers like a Mercedes Benz Adenauer, a Porsche 356 and many "sporty Italians"🏎️ the aviation industry gathered at the invitation of IPS a SITA company to discuss topics that will shape the airports of the future. Back in the days when the vintage cars, now housed in the Classic Remise Düsseldorf, were still a common sight on the roads, self-service wasn't exactly in vogue. Most services were provided in person. 💁♂️ At the Aviation Forum, the focus was of course on solutions such as 🧳 self-bag-drop, smart payment, self boarding. But the lectures also concentrated  on other innovations to improve the passenger experience, such as the autonomous driving wheelchair at London Gatwick. New airport projects were also presented, for example the Terminal 6 JFK and the hurricane “Irma” recovery and modernization plan for Princess Juliana International Airport - SXM.
