In recognition of his fundamental contributions to the understanding of gene regulation by RNA-binding proteins and the identification of RNA-binding proteins, Prof. Dr. Matthias Hentze will be awarded the Otto Warburg Medal 2025 of the German Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology @GBM_eV. The GBM-Innovation-Award is awarded each year at the STS Meeting of the Signal Transduction Society to a young scientist working on a new and interesting method. In 2024, Annika Reisbitzer's work on the "Novel application of Promega NanoBiT® Protein:Protein Interaction System" was awarded with this 500 € prize. Anna Reisbitzer is a PhD student at the University of Siegen, working in the group of Prof. Sybille Krauß (Human- and Neurobiology).
