🗓️ Hamburg, 15 January 2025 🥳 Exciting news from Hamburg Port Authority UAS Programme! 🚁 The Hamburg Police and Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) Anstalt öffentlichen Rechts have joined forces to pioneer teleoperated and fully automated drone services since the start of 2023. Their collaborative efforts aim to seamlessly integrate diverse drone technologies for enhanced security, disaster response, flood protection, and overall port and infrastructure management within the bustling Port of Hamburg. In a groundbreaking milestone yesterday, a cutting-edge drone, Zerc, took flight from Hamburg, tracing the course of the Lower Elbe to Neuwerk crossing three German states over about 100 km. This mission marked the inaugural utilization of the advanced vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drone system, in conjunction with the state-of-the-art Ground Station control Skygates as a BVLOS-Flight provided by Globe UAV GmbH. The flight wasn't just a trial run for operational protocols; it also served as a crucial evaluation of the system's potential to bolster the Elbe patrol activities, traditionally conducted via helicopters. Additionally, the exploration aimed to assess the viability of utilizing the drone for extensive aerial surveillance in the foreseeable future. This successful endeavor signifies a remarkable step forward in leveraging innovative drone capabilities for heightened efficiency and sustainability in information gathering and processing. Erfolgreicher Drohnentestflug in Berlin 🛸📦 Letzte Woche hat unser #SmartInfrastructure SCM- und Logistik-Team Expert*innen aus Wirtschaft, Forschung und Politik zu einer Drohnenflugdemonstration auf das Gelände des Messgerätewerks in #Siemensstadt geladen. Eine #Drohne der Globe UAV GmbH wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit Dronegy und Luftlabor für den Testflug so konfiguriert, dass sie Materialien und Bauteile auf kurzen Strecken über das Messgerätewerk hinweg transportieren kann. Die durchgeführten Testflüge wurden erfolgreich und mit großer Präzision absolviert. Die Möglichkeit, Lastendrohnen für eine schnelle und emissionsarme #Logistik an Siemens-Fertigungsstandorten einzusetzen, soll nun weiter beleuchtet werden. Das Treffen war zudem geprägt durch spannende Fachvorträge und Diskussionen über die Leistungsfähigkeit moderner Transportdrohnen für die Logistik und das #SupplyChainManagement in der Industrie. Die regulatorischen Bedingungen für sichere Drohnenflüge im urbanen Raum erklärten Expert*innen des Luftfahrt-Bundesamtes und der Senatsverwaltung.
