“Berlin goes USA“ – letzte Station Los Angeles Zum Abschluss unserer Delegationsreise, die in Zusammenarbeit mit der Senatskanzlei Berlin, der IHK Berlin und in Begleitung des Regierenden Bürgermeisters von Berlin Kai #Wegner organisiert wurde, ging es am vergangenen Donnerstag und Freitag nach Los Angeles - der ältesten Partnerstadt Berlins. Den Auftakt bildete das Netzwerkfrühstück "LA meets Berlin at Microsoft Lounge" in Kooperation mit der Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), gefolgt von einem Besuch des La Kretz Innovation Campus und einer Präsentation des Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI). Anschließend ging es zur Unterzeichnung des MoU zwischen dem Los Angeles Department of Water and Power und der Berliner Energieagentur GmbH (BEA), bevor der Tag mit dem Berliner Abendempfang in der Villa Aurora ausklang. Am letzten Tag standen dann die Teilnahme am GREENTECH FESTIVAL Los Angeles samt “Berlin-California Networking Session“ und ein Site Visit in der Google Playa Vista inkl. Fahrt im fahrerlosen Auto von Waymo auf dem Programm. That’s a wrap on GTF Connect LA 2024! Our final world tour stop of the year brought over 500 changemakers together to explore how we can drive sustainable innovation in times of transition. Highlights included an inspiring delegation of over 40 leaders from Berlin, led by Mayor Kai Wegner, who emphasized the importance of global partnerships. At the Conference, Experts like @Seleta Reynolds (Los Angeles Metro) and Aaron Paley (Community Arts Resources) discussed the sustainable goals of the #LA28 Olympic Games amid political shifts. Other panels tackled the future of urban mobility and the urgent steps needed to create a sustainable Hollywood, featuring leaders like Adam L. (Waymo), Lindsay Sturman (Livable Communities Initiative), and Jennifer Sandoval (Earth Angel). Congratulations to Lara Obst of ClimateChoice, winner of the GREEN START-UP SLAM, who will compete in Berlin next year! 🎉 A special thank you to the incredible women who joined the Business Ladies Dinner powered by IHK Berlin & Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH , creating a powerful platform for collaboration and inspiration! Tested and certified by the U.S. Air Force, Twelve’s Power-to-Liquid jet fuel is redefining the future of sustainable aviation.
