Founded in 1952 (GRUR Int.), GRUR International is a monthly, peer-reviewed journal which transitioned from a German to English-language publication in 2020. The journal deals scientifically with the fields of IP and Competition Law as well as the areas related to them. This includes, for instance, patent law, utility model law, copyright and neighbouring rights, publishing law, trademark law, design law, competition law, antitrust law, the law of personality, and certain aspects of food law, advertising law, media law, general civil law and procedural law.
The journal is specifically designed for scholars specialising in IP law, IP lawyers and patent attorneys both in private practice and working in industry. It is also an essential source of reference for members of the judiciary, officials in IP offices and regulatory bodies, and institutional libraries.
From 2020, GRUR International is co-published in English language by OUP and C. H. Beck.
