Last month, HLK’s DiveIn group organised a collection for a local food bank to acknowledge and raise awareness of economic inequality in the UK. 📢 Only one month to go until applications close for the 2025 European Patent Pipeline Program (EPPP), a 10-week internship programme in Summer 2025. Make sure you get your application in ahead of the deadline on 4 January!       The aim of the EPPP is to break down barriers and widen access to the private practice patent attorney profession by offering internships to STEM students, allowing them a unique opportunity to experience life as a patent attorney.       Open to penultimate and final year STEM university students, the programme offers 10-week paid internships, running from the end of June through to August 2025. Within the programme, participants will receive an induction as if they were a trainee with us and undertake ‘real life’ work, giving them greater insight into the role of a patent attorney.       HLK is delighted to be taking part in the EPPP along with Murgitroyd, Kilburn & Strode, Withers & Rogers, Generating Genius and The National Council on Patent Practicum, Inc. Encouraging good mental health in the workplace, and helping those who are struggling, are important to us at HLK. That’s why we were delighted to welcome Jonathan's Voice to the office yesterday to deliver their ‘Mental Health for Line Managers’ training to a group of our managers.    The workshop focused on practical skills and strategies to help line managers support their teams. Through a mix of conversation, role play and group work we covered everything from understanding and managing staff mental health to how to look after yourself so you’re able to support your team better.
