One week. One room. One goal: making marketing a real revenue driver. Most of the time, our team works across different time zones, collaborating remotely. But this week, we came together at our HQ in Cologne. And something happens when you sit in the same room—conversations go deeper, challenges get sharper, and alignment happens faster. Suddenly, the bigger picture isn’t just something you talk about; you see it. This week wasn’t just about strategy. It was about understanding how we work together, what drives us, and how we can create the biggest impact. And seeing what we’ve planned for the next months—the level of detail, the advanced strategies, the performance-driven approach, and the tech we’re using—made me incredibly proud. This is what it means to do marketing that drives revenue. If there’s one thing you can take away from our workshop, it’s something I was reminded of during our sessions with Product and Sales. It’s simple, but easy to forget. And maybe that’s exactly why it’s worth writing down—to keep it in mind, to come back to it, and to let it shape the way we think about marketing: Don’t sell what you do. Sell what it changes for your customers. We get excited about our product. But our customers don’t buy a product—they buy what it changes for them. It sounds obvious, but it’s something we need to remind ourselves of constantly. When you’re deep in tech, features and innovations feel like the most exciting part. But at the end of the day, that’s not what matters. 📌 People didn’t buy an iPod because it had 5GB. They bought 1,000 songs in their pocket. 📌 They don’t buy accounting software for automated reports. They buy the freedom to focus on growth. 📌 They don’t invest in cybersecurity for firewalls. They invest in peace of mind. Features don’t create impact—outcomes do. 🙏🏻 And with this and many more I’m leaving this week feeling energized, challenged, and more certain than ever: when marketing, sales, and product truly collaborate, that’s where the magic happens.
